Chapter 35 - Chapter 34: Four-Dimensional Mechanical Beast Megajheera

The TPC Energy Monitoring Department in the Imperial Capital is a specialized unit dedicated to detecting anomalous energy signatures within the planet's interior and from outer space.

The work of this department is singular: round-the-clock monitoring, 24 hours a day, covering all energy data across the globe. TPC maintains 360 space stations in orbit, forming a protective net around Earth. Utilizing thirty satellites controlled beneath these stations, they safeguard the planet at all times.

"Report! Four-dimensional space energy has appeared in the city center of Jiang City. The energy fluctuations are massive; it seems something is emerging from within!"

"Back up the data immediately! Also, contact the Jiang Province TPC base and tell them to prepare for deployment!"

"This is bad! A monster has emerged from the four-dimensional space!"

"Dammit, they chose this exact moment." The Chief of the Energy Monitoring Department looked at the clock—it was 2:00 AM, the time when most people were deep in sleep.

"Quickly! Have Jiang City issue a Level 1 Emergency Evacuation Order! Restrict the monster's movement to within a one-kilometer radius!"

The order was dispatched. Although this was the energy department, they were authorized to take such action in emergencies, provided a detailed report followed.

In the heart of Jiang City, amidst the dim lights of the urban sprawl, the space beside a sixty-meter-tall skyscraper began to warp and distort.

At two in the morning, while most were sleeping, there were always cars on the road. Delinquents and night owls were active in the dark. At a night market stall, several young men were eating and drinking beer when a massive foot descended, sending them straight to the underworld before they could even react.

"Aaaah!"

"A monster! A monster is here!"

The stall owner abandoned his business and fled for his life. Having just witnessed the previous tragedy, he didn't want to stay a second longer. But reality is cruel; despite his speed, his luck was poor. As the monster's other foot came down, the owner met a bitter end, dying with a grievance in his heart.

"Gaaa-ah—"

The thunderous roar echoed across Jiang Province. Simultaneously, sirens wailed, piercing through the entire city. Even in districts far from the center, lights flickered on. The already bright metropolis suddenly became as luminous as broad daylight.

VROOOOM—

Seven GUTS Wing 1 jets appeared over the city center. Three teams of Defense Force fighters—sixteen aircraft in total—materialized in Jiang City's airspace.

"Target sighted. It appears to be a mechanical monster, dinosaur-like in appearance, approximately 60 meters tall. Please advise."

Upon spotting the target, the GUTS Wing 1 pilots immediately transmitted intel to headquarters. HQ responded instantly: "Fire at will. Your objective is singular: ensure citizen safety while restricting the monster's movement to a one-kilometer radius!"

"Understood."

Switching to the local combat channel, the squad leader ordered: "All units, fire at will! Trap the monster here!"

"Roger!"

Pew! Pew! Pew!

Rat-tat-tat-tat!!!

The GUTS Wings and Defense Force planes launched their assault. Beams of light and energy bullets poured out, striking the mechanical beast's hull.

"Gaaa-ah—"

The mechanical monster sensed the arrival of the aircraft. Feeling the impact of the attacks, its mouth snapped open. It raised its arms, and from its fingertips—which acted as firing ports—it launched a volley of missiles toward the sky.

Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!

The missiles were so fast they looked like white streaks of light in the night, relentlessly chasing the GUTS Wings and the military planes. The monster fired indiscriminately; while ninety percent of the missiles missed the planes, they plummeted into the city. Consecutive explosions rocked the streets, dragging the silent city into a baptism of fire.

"Dammit, we can't let this continue." The temporary squad leader opened his comms again, shouting: "Hurry! Get the GUTS reserve members here! It's an emergency—the monster is tearing the city apart!"

"HQ here. Reinforcements will arrive in thirty seconds. Do everything in your power to stop the destruction!"

In the Jiang Province TPC GUTS briefing room, a man in his thirties finished speaking and rushed to an operator: "Query the Imperial Headquarters! See if there's any data on this mechanical beast. Find out who the mastermind is!"

In truth, both this man and the operator were GUTS reservists, not official members. This was because of the battle three days ago; half of the official GUTS members from the twelve southern provinces were missing. The other half had been crushed by the Sphere over the East China Sea. Even those who survived were mostly in the ICU.

"Sphere"—that was the name transmitted from the Imperial Capital. Data regarding their possession abilities and biology had been shared with every province and nation.

"Captain, we have word from the Imperial Capital!"

"Project it on the screen immediately!"

The temporary captain turned to the main screen. The target's name, affiliation, and data appeared.

> Four-Dimensional Mechanical Beast: Megajheera

> Height: 60 meters

> Weight: 50,000 tons

> Characteristics: Body composed of special alien metal with extreme defensive capabilities. Armed with various alien weaponry; capable of firing 2,000 missiles per second.

> Creator: Four-Dimensional Alien, Alien Baroom.

>

Glancing at the info, he saw a note at the bottom: Strongly linked to the disappearance of GUTS three days ago.

The higher-ups weren't hiding this; every GUTS branch had a right to know. The captain knew they had to stop this monster—it might hold the key to entering the Four-Dimensional Space.

"Captain, it's getting worse! Ten more spatial energy nodes have appeared in Jiang City! More Megajheera are emerging!"

"How is that possible!"

The captain's pupils shrank. The sheer volume of firepower was terrifying. He barked orders: "All GUTS personnel, including reservists and combat staff, to your stations! All GUTS Wings take off! Open the hangar—I'm taking the GUTS Eagle!"

He grabbed his helmet and ran, but paused to add: "Contact the Defense Force! Tell them to deploy immediately. Ground units must protect the civilians!"

With that, he was gone. Eleven mechanical monsters invading Jiang City, spread so far apart... tonight was destined to be a sleepless one.

In the city center, King Guesra and Alien Zurzsl appeared to battle the mechanical Megajheera. It wasn't just Jiang City; throughout the twelve southern provinces, across all of China, and even in cities worldwide, the shadow of Megajheera appeared.

As if the invaders had planned it all along, nearly a thousand Megajheera emerged from the Four-Dimensional Space simultaneously, attacking cities across the globe. From the grasslands to Venice, Washington to the Eiffel Tower, and the Solomon Islands—Megajheera was everywhere.

Suddenly, the entire planet was plunged into a crisis. TPC and Defense Forces from all nations mobilized to eliminate these monsters.

Meanwhile, in that pitch-black world, a train flew through the air.

After an unknown amount of time, a city shrouded in darkness finally came into view. Only a few scattered streetlights provided any illumination. Upon closer inspection, the city was filled with ruined buildings. Amidst the rubble, the charred wreckage of GUTS Eagles could be seen.

Ye Feng, watching from the train, was shaken to his core. He gripped the Hyper Gun tightly, though the weapon provided little comfort. He pressed his hand against his chest, feeling the warmth of the Cosmos Stone. The heat from the stone gradually calmed his racing heart.

Soon, Ye Feng noticed tracks appearing beneath the train. The carriage descended onto the rails, and the silence was finally broken by the screeching friction of wheels against steel.

Accompanied by this harsh grinding sound, the train drifted slowly toward the terminal station...
