It was now the day for their departure to the city. Vincent said his goodbyes to many people. His parents packed up and where ready to go.
Then the sounds blared, as it was the sirens of danger. Many panicked as they got out their homes, Vincent looked at his parents.
"Oh no."
His mother uttered feeling worry.
"Dear we must go, Vincent quickly lets go before anything happens."
They got out and were now walking to where the base was as their transport was waiting for them. Vincent nodded only as they step foot on the road he saw up in the sky giant figures. All resembling some sort of ships. Which he has seen come and go belonging to the emperors forces.
They looked different though less human. Vincent felt a bad feeling as he saw guards rush towards the outpost. As Vincent lived close to the wall of the town. For some reason he was curious to see what was happening but let that feeling die down.
The people were running from their homes, guardsman patrolling were on high alert following their other brother in arms.
"Son lets go!"
Vincent nodded at his father hurried tone.
Without him there, the guardsmen were looking at figures coming from the sky. As the dust settled, hundreds had crash landed on their world. They all weren't humans or anyone from the emperor's imperium.
"Alies!"
"No way it's the Tyranids!"
Tyranids or other refer to as the Xenos. Where alien creatures that they learned from their higher ups. They saw a huge Xenos ship land on the ground as more than hundreds crawled from there. Some holding sharp weapons as they snarled at their direction.
"Fire!"
Each soldier shot and killed many Xenos but they wouldn't last long.
*BOOOOOOM*BOOOOOM*
*BANG*BANG*BANG*
Explosions occurred with their tanks working their job. Heavy artillery was fired behind the walls. As they killed more appeared, more ships swarmed the ground. As they headed even closer to the wall.
Some shot some form of acid that hit the head but he quickly tossed his helm to the side seeing it melt. He paled because it could've been him.
"Get it together soldier keep firing!"
His sergeant yelled as he nodded but still had some will to live on and fight. Some died from projectile acids as one could see that some were to slow to take their helmets and see their flesh melt.
"Do not let them breach the town! In the name of the emperor we will not fall!"
"Owaaaa!"
"AAAAH!"
Many roared even with their old equipment handed to them they fought with not the Xenos climbing on the walls.
*BANG*BANG*
A huge alien breached the wall with ramming into it, as some passed through ignoring the guards.
Vincent was less than 2 miles out. Not to far away her heard the fight roaring in the background. He didn't want to look back.
"Ah!"
Xenos the fast one's jumped on a couple and ate them alive. While another just sliced it in half with it's tail. Vincent looked back and froze as he saw them tear apart the people.
He gritted his teeth and ran back, snapping out his surprise.
"Mom, dad! We got to go! Xenos breached our town!"
"Xenos!?"
"Honey no time to stop we have to make it."
Thankfully his mom listened to his father and did not freak out. Hearing the screams of pain getting louder and more vibrant.
Some patrolling Guardsmen were here bringing hope to some people.
"Everyone run to our base straight and we have vehicles ready to take you all to the city for this problem."
If it's declaring an emergency like this even the poor can go to the city for a temporary stay.
But they died as one jumped from a roof and ate his head clean off. A xenos took some bullets to the body only for it to growl in anger and quickly bite it's leg and then his arms.
Killing him out of shock.
Vincent turned and saw one heading their way. He saw a little kid trying to run and he knew he couldn't set him die.
""You two keep running, I'll catch you up later, Dad don't let my mom stop!"
His father turned to understand what he was doing. He had a worried solemn look, his mother bit down on her lips.
"Come on Vincent!"
"Dad."
"I got it son."
He pulled mom away and they ran as Vincent was going to do something foolish but something heroic.
