Chapter 11 - The Queen

Genteel gets up and straighten up herself. Checking out her dressing the silence is uncomfortable in the room and she looks up at Catherine who is crying silently with only tears running down her cheeks.

"You are busy crying instead of getting me a suit of armour!"

"Now you are talking of an armour? You pretty much know that you gave that gown you love to wear to your daughter!" Catherine wipes off her tears.

"What am I going to wear? Besides I have a lot of armours just pick one from those, it is time I try something different!"

Catherine is surprised after hearing these words and she decides to take this opportunity to let her try out the armour she made for her.

Brings it out and displays it with a smile. Genteel is astonished by the silver and gold alignment on it.

"What do you think?" Catherine is jocund because of the opportunity presented.

"It is black, has silver and embedded on it! It is beautiful and looks like it will be too heavy for me to bear!"

"Oh, do not worry about that! I fixed that with magic. So, it is not heavy anymore."

"Wow, really?"

"Yes, so try it now, I am sure you will look fabulous in it!"

"I am going to fight a demon not to a fashion show or a beauty contest!"

"I know, just try it on now!"

"Okay."

She drags the word, takes the armour and leaves to change.

Returns wearing the armour, a perfect fit for her and the glow in Catherine's eyes increases and she rushes to her.

"Look at that! You were right." Genteel is surprised by the suit.

"Told you, you would look fabulous in it!"

"Ohhh and that too but I am talking about you having taken care of the weight!"

"It is as light as a feather!"

"Yes, now if you will excuse me, I have to save my people as it stands, I am their queen and it is my duty."

"Do not take too long!"

"I can't promise you that!" she says leaving the house and heading out to face Gwanhoya.

Death and destruction are her path and the name Gwanhoya means death or a cold body. She devours corpses relieving the souls out of them. Tearing the limps of their bodies, burning their bodies and decaying them. With her face excited and satisfied by the screams and cries of the residents of the enchanted forest.

"Enough, demon!" Genteel shouts floating in the sky.

Gwanhoya and Genteel glare at each other. In her mind Genteel is contemplating that she is the one that killed her daughter after she had turned her into a minion. The power coming from her feels evil and dense and there is a soul trapped inside.

"So, you must be the one who cut my connection to Mukura!"

A person who is able to do that is not an ordinary human being.

"Where is my daughter demon?"

"Your daughter? I do not know what you are talking about!"

"I said, where is my daughter demon!"

She does not answer thinking of what she is talking about. Maybe she is an immortal being and the tales of the white witch lineage were just tales.

Genteel slowly comes down with magical pressure emanating from her body pushing back Gwanhoya and she attacks with haste. On the face with her left fist on the cheek pushing her back again.

The power emanating from Genteel is dense, almost similar to that of the Chief and she can feel the dense power bottled inside her. Thinking of a strategy to throw her off her power. But who is this daughter she is talking about and when did she encounter any of the white witch descendants?

Gwanhoya smiles looking at her, "I am going to rip your heart out the way I did hers!" she takes off fast and attempts to hit her.

Surprisingly, she easily dodges like the air is carrying her. Gwanhoya is in disbelief because her speed was beyond normal. And she did not even use a lot of power. What is her magical ability? It is unclear. She seems to be using some sought of force.

"Tell me, what type of power do you possess?" Gwanhoya enquires coming up with a strategy to fight her.

Genteel ignore and vanishes reappearing behind her. Places her hand on Gwanhoya's forehead.

"The body you inhabited belongs to my daughter's sister! And you are not to have it any longer!"

Light build on her hand, burning Gwanhoya and she screams shaking the whole enchanted forest, turning her eyes first taking the form she used to fight Wezhira.

"You said your daughter, right? So, one of my descendants made an abomination with a white witch? No wonder why she was weak. It is a good thing I tore her apart when I did!" her voice sound denser.

Genteel remains composed staring at Gwanhoya, "Your mind games won't work on me!"

"Guess we just going to have to do it the old-fashioned way!"

"Couldn't agree more!"

Jump from the respective directions and exchange blows creating a wave which reaches the Magical Anchorage and is felt by all of them inside.

Magical Anchorage

"What was that wave?" Mukura asks Wezhira terrified by the eerie feeling that came with the wave.

"Currently, the Queen of Alabaster Weald is engaged in battle with Gwanhoya!" Wezhira seems calm and this terrifies her more.

How can he be calm after feeling all that from one blow?

"How we supposed to be that?" sweat starts dripping from her head.

"That is why you are here child, to learn!"

"I do not know if I can do this!"

"Look here I am not going to go all inspirational to you, but if you do not learn, you won't be able to free your sister."

"Alright then, but are you not going to help her?" she sounds concerned.

"No, the Queen of the Alabaster Weald is more than capable of taking care of herself. And the same cannot be said for you, so please stop worrying and let us continue training."

Mukura returns back to her training.

Alabaster Weald

The battle between Gwanhoya and Genteel rages on. And the residents of the village watch while in hiding in terror. Catherine takes this opportunity to search for the magical staff of Genteel so she can give it to her.

The is now more physical than it is magical as the two exchange blows continuously.

"Genteel! I have found your staff!"

Catherine shouts out distracting her helping Gwanhoya get a decisive blow land sliding what was an even battle. Dipping her nails inside Genteel from the back. Lifting her with them and throwing her down. Blood flowing out of the wounds and her mouth lying on the ground looking at her friend who freezes and tears flowing out of her eyes watching her on the ground.

She cannot scream out her name anymore.

Gwanhoya descents to the ground and lands a foot on Genteel. Another shocking development in power and it seems Mukura is about to lose her last parent.

Catherine runs, towards them and Gwanhoya waves her hand and sends her flying back.

"Before you die, let me show you how I stripped the bones out of your precious daughter's body!" Gwanhoya walks up to where Catherine is, hold her by the neck dipping her nails inside, smiles malevolently looking at her.

The staff is in her reach, she moves her index finger a bit and it flies over to her and she rises from the ground, breathing heavily holding on to it using it as an anchor. She begins emitting a white aura from her eyes.

"Look at you! At the brink of death and trying to scare me with glowing eyes!" Gwanhoya giggles looking at her speaking insolently.

"Begone demon!" she hits the ground with the staff and Gwanhoya alone is taken out by a wave of intense light enshrouding the whole forest closing the opening, "For I am the Queen of the White witches of this forest and I will not let you harm anyone else."

Casting her out of the enchanted forest. She screams in pain kneels back down and both of them (Genteel and Catherine) fall down to the ground. The people are circumspect coming out to see if the witch is really gone so they can take their bodies.

The dark time has ceased, another large number of people dead barely, those who are left survived. The number of the wounded low. The battle is won but the loss is great. The queen rests.

"Even though in her state of mind she still fought for us! A lot of us rejected her but she still fought to protect us." One of the women says this feeling guilty.

A man moves forward.

"She is our queen and she has always protected us and I feel ashamed that we rejected her after all she has done for us over the years. We do not lack and there is peace in our village and yet!" the man forms fist disappointed in himself looking down.

He bows down on the ground.
