Keifer's Point of View
"President, I need to tell you something. We caught Jay in the bathroom. She was yelling at herself, 'control your nerves, control your emotions, never do what you did in high school' and stuff like that. Ci-n came out, asked her, and the girl suddenly exploded, shouted 'don't you understand, idiot' at us. Then she pushed us aside and left.
This girl isn't normal. So fragile and aggressive from the very first day… I think we need to be careful. Why did the administration put her in Class E anyway? What do you think?" David asked.
I suddenly went silent. I couldn't help thinking "she probably escaped from a mental hospital." I took a slow breath, kept my tone steady, looked slowly at David—my eyes involuntarily narrowed, but my voice stayed calm:
"…High school stuff? Interesting."
Short pause. I tapped my fingers on the desk, then continued:
"If she's broken enough to talk to herself like that, something's clearly triggering her. But that outburst… that part could be weakness, and pushing you guys away too. She's building walls, David. And we don't know yet what's behind those walls."
Then a slight smile (not mocking, more like a challenge):
"If the administration threw her in here, it's either a punishment or a test. Either way, Class E isn't the wrong place for her… maybe the exact opposite. Keep watching. But don't get too close. Not yet. I'll ask Edrix to check her old school files."
Then Jay came back to class, acting like nothing had happened. Yuri, who had heard everything, asked in a mocking tone: "You okay?"
Jay's gaze sharpened. "I'm fine—better than ever," she said. Murmurs erupted in the class. Blaster jumped in: "Looks like someone wants all eyes on them." I gave a light smirk—just enough for him to notice. Then Jay first studied Blaster, and said: "Impress you? Hah, I'm not one of those types, but I guess I've caught too much of your attention."
The silence in the class broke—total chaos started. Rory smacked Blaster on the head, Felix and Calix started whispering to each other, Danzel, Mayo, and Kit all scrunched their faces, Edrix buried himself in his computer, Eman pretended to be busy with something else while occasionally signaling David, Yuri looked at me like she was waiting for me to do something. So I stood up:
"You really think you're that important, huh, attention seeker? But just like we don't like girls here, we don't like attention seekers either—get out."
Jay pursed her lips and started speaking in a mocking tone: "Look who's talking, Mr. Know-It-All. But I don't think so. You're the ones showing interest here—if you weren't, why would you even be talking to me?"
This woman was going to drive me insane. The moment I opened my mouth, the teacher came in.
Nothing happened in the last period. Everyone left, only Jay and I remained. Her phone kept ringing nonstop—I finally got annoyed:
"Are you planning to answer that phone?"
"I don't want to keep myself busy," she said.
"Whatever, I'll answer it," I said and picked up. Jay was yelling "hang up" from behind—I ignored her and listened.
Ooo Jay'cim, finally picked up huh? What, did we bother you, you slut? What did you do to your new friends? We found out what you did in 1st and 2nd year of high school—are you going crazy at school again, idiot?
I was shocked—who were these people? But without hesitation I spoke:
What do you want?
Who are you?
Jay's friend.
You should'nt be friends—she's a liar and can never fit in anywhere, she went crazy in high school, I suggest you stay awa—
Shut your mouth. I don't know who you are but you're the real idiot.
Then I hung up. It didn't mean anything to me personally, but this was way too much. Maybe that's why she talked to the mirror—not because she's crazy, but because she has no one to talk to.
Jay quickly snatched the phone back. Her voice was shaking but she spoke:
"Don't ever do something like that again and forget about it."
I wanted to catch her, but she ran away.
