[Joseph, you are advised to start making technology. Doing so will earn you points.]
When I heard what Julie said, an idea immediately formed in my mind.
I remembered how the original host of the Technology System had used it in the novel—how he slowly built his influence through innovation. One of the first things he created was something called the Bug Zapper, a system-built program designed to detect weaknesses in software and propose solutions to fix them.
It was smart. Efficient. Profitable.
But for me?
That wasn't enough.
As the saying goes—go big or go home.
With that thought in mind, I turned my attention toward something far more tempting.
The System Shop.
[SHOP]
Quantum Computing
Artificial Intelligence
Fusion Energy
Nanotechnology
Universal Printer
Space Elevators
Terraforming
Force Fields
Quantum Computing
…
The list went on and on.
Each option was more absurd than the last—technologies that could reshape the world, rewrite industries, or even redefine humanity itself.
Although I knew I could do all of this and more, something deep inside me was calling out.
One choice stood above the rest.
Without thinking any further, I reached out and tapped it.
The Universal Printer.
[Universal Printer]
Description: Can print anything technology-wise with absolute precision.
Cost: 1,000,000,000 TP
Without any hesitation, I pressed the purchase option.
Nothing happened.
I blinked, confused.
"When I bought it… nothing changed," I muttered. "I guess that's because of my huge brain capacity."
With no physical manifestation, I focused inward and began analyzing the information that had been transferred directly into my mind.
That's when disappointment hit.
The materials required to build the Universal Printer were neither cheap nor easy to obtain. Some of them were borderline impossible to find with my current resources.
I let out a slow breath.
As my disappointment deepened, a familiar voice echoed in my head.
[Joseph, have you forgotten that the system allows you to buy anything?]
Hearing that, the frustration vanished instantly.
"…Right."
I quickly searched through the fictional section of the System Shop.
And what I found—
Shocked me.
[Universal Computer]
Description: Prints by breaking down matter and recycling it.
Note: Works on items that are not useful to the owner of the system.
Cost: 0.5 SP
My heart skipped a beat.
There was more.
[Supreme Universal Computer]
Description: Prints by forming matter using the Universal Principle only.
Note: Only a small amount of electricity is needed to operate.
Cost: 1.5 SP
I stared at the options in silence.
Compared to the Universal Printer, these were absurdly cheap—and infinitely more practical.
A slow smile formed on my face.
"This…" I whispered, "changes everything."
