Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6: {TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM}

The usual opening routine took place in our homeroom class, with the teacher calling out names one by one. Soon after, we transitioned into our first math class of the day.

"Good morning, students," the teacher said as she stood at the front of the room. "My name is Elizabeth Cross, and I'll be taking you through mathematics for the rest of the year."

She turned toward the board.

"Open your books to page one. We'll begin with—"

As the lecture continued, I found myself quickly grasping everything she explained. No—more than that. The lesson felt almost laughably easy.

This wasn't arrogance. I knew why.

My previous experiences, combined with the traits I had gained from becoming Morpheus, had enhanced my mental capacity far beyond normal limits. My brain could retain massive amounts of information and break it down with deep, almost instinctive understanding.

I was so lost in thought that I didn't even realize the teacher had stopped speaking.

"The student near the window," she said.

I blinked and looked up.

"Me?" I asked, pointing at myself.

"Yes, you," she replied. "Come up and solve this question."

"Okay."

I stood and walked toward the front of the class. As I passed between the desks, I could feel eyes following me.

"Do you think he'll be able to answer it?" one student whispered.

"Not a chance," another replied quietly. "That's what you get for not paying attention to a new teacher's class."

I ignored them.

"Here," Ms. Cross said, handing me the chalk. "Work it out."

She smiled slightly.

"Don't worry if you can't solve it. This is a university-level problem."

I nodded and turned to face the board.

Though she thought I was guessing, I wasn't.

Thanks to unlocking more than three percent of the Dream of the Endless, I could read deeper layers of thought—patterns, logic, structure. I shut out the noise behind me and focused solely on the problem.

The classroom fell into a low murmur… until it suddenly stopped.

The scratching sound of chalk echoed sharply as I wrote.

One line after another.

When I finished, I placed the chalk down.

For a moment, the room was silent.

"What the—" Ms. Cross muttered under her breath as she stared at the board.

She walked closer, her eyes scanning every step of the solution.

"No mistake… this is the answer."

She turned to me, visibly surprised.

"Ah… good job. What was your name again?"

"Joseph," I replied.

"Good job, Joseph. You may return to your seat."

She faced the class once more.

"That," she said firmly, "is how you solve a mathematical problem."

Whispers erupted behind me as I returned to my seat.

"He actually solved it…"

"Was he pretending before?"

I ignored them.

The rest of the day passed quickly, and before I knew it, classes were over.

.....

After catching up with George, I returned home.

The moment I closed the door behind me, my thoughts shifted.

The Technology System.

I wanted to see what it could really do.

"Julie," I said calmly, "show me my Technology System status."

"Okay, host," she replied.

"Wait," I said quickly. "Could you stop calling me 'host' and just use my name?"

"…Understood, Joseph," Julie responded.

A transparent window appeared in front of me.

[STATUS WINDOW]

Name: Joseph Manoro

Technology Points: 2,000,000,000 TP

Mana Storage: Infinite

Shop: Locked

Technology Builds: 0

[Note: The system advises the user to begin creating technology in order to farm points.]

I stared at the numbers in silence.

Two billion points.

"…This is going to change everything," I muttered.

And for the first time, I truly understood—

This system wasn't just powerful.

It was dangerous.

....

Felt generous today .Enjoy it
