[3rd POV]
Unlike what Claire had been expecting, Luke had not driven Billie insane. If anything, Billie had been enjoying her time watching the younger boy. And had also enjoyed it when Phil got back and joined in on their gaming session.
The three of them had spent quite a bit of time playing some Smash bros, Mortal Kombat, and even a couple of games of Black Ops Zombies, although the last of those they took turns on. The split screen was hard as hell to see in.
The highest round that they had gotten to was 35, and that was with Luke surprisingly enough. The boy was pretty good at the game. They got that high on Moon, and that was partially because Billie had shown the boy the Easter egg for the map, which he was pretty happy doing.
By the time that the trio had returned home, it was late into the evening, and time for Billie to head back to her own home. Haley was pretty exhausted, and after a quick and delicious dinner, the family had soon parted ways.
"So how was the day out with your fam?" Billie asked, as she drove her and her girlfriend home. The street lights passing them buy, illuminating the city as the sun had already slowly gone down, and the moon had risen high.
"Pretty fun. Mom was asking a ton of questions about the whole switching to fashion design thing. But besides that it was pretty fun" Haley replied, getting a raised eyebrow in response.
"What did she say about the fashion design switch?"
"She was basically just asking if I was really thinking it through, and if I knew what I was doing. She was also asking about like, if I actually had the ability to make money off of making clothes and fashion products. You know, the sort of stuff my mom would naturally be bugging me about" Haley explained.
"Well, in her defense those are pretty good questions. I wouldn't say they are pushy or anything, and if anything, she sounds like she was being pretty fair with the questions she was asking" Billie replied, agreeing that her questions were pretty chill all things considered.
They could have been a lot worse and a hell of a lot more annoying to answer. Or just more rude.
"Oh she was. At least, compared to normal. I just wish she wouldn't have to ask the questions in the first place, and would learn to trust me and the decisions that I make" Haley said, agreeing with her girlfriend's words.
"Babe, she's your mom. She is never going to stop asking questions, and she is never going to stop making sure that you know what the decision your making means. It might be annoying to deal with, sure, but she's doing it because she cares and wants to make sure you don't do something stupid" Billie said, defending Claire.
Claire might be...overbearing at times, and honestly kind of annoying. But, she did of course love her daughters, and wanted to make sure they succeed in life, at least enough to live comfortably in the future like she had thanks to her own dads "Annoying" personality.
Alex was already kind of set, thanks to her intelligence, and Claire trusted her quite a bit when it came to her future. It was Haley that she had to keep an eye on, since Haley was still getting used to "adulting" and needed a bit of oversight even now.
Thankfully she and Phil had also started to pay more attention to Alex as of recently, thanks to Haley no longer really living with them. This meant that the previous borderline neglect Alex was suffering from, was now a lot better.
And thanks to that her mental state was improving, and she wasn't dealing with nearly as much stress, anxiety, and depression. That meant she was enjoying life more than before, and school was becoming easier than before.
"That...yeah I guess that is true. It's just kind of annoying to deal with, since she tends to go a bit overboard with it at times" Haley responded with a sigh, knowing that her girlfriend was telling the truth "Hopefully she doesn't go full psycho in the future over some of my decisions".
"She probably will. That's how moms are" Billie said with a shrug. She didn't have a mom in this life, but she had seen enough shows and other peoples mothers and their reactions to things, to know how it would probably go.
"So, when's the visit to the Kardashians?" Haley asked.
"In a couple of days. I figure we can set up some other stuff for them to do if it goes well. Like homework sort of stuff" Billie replied, as they had already planned out what the first lesson would be, but not after that.
"What sort of homework?"
"The fun type. I wouldn't want it to be like school. No, I'd have them memorize a song and sing it to the best of their ability, or something like that. Something they could enjoy and actually learn from, or at least use it to improve" Billie answered after a few moments of contemplation.
Nobody liked homework, and nobody wanted more of it. Sure, having homework based around music could potentially be fun. But she honestly doubted that either Kylie or Kendall would like that. It would cut in on their time at home, and could clash with actual school work.
So if she did assign anything, it would be minor enough that they could do it in a short amount of time. And if they did do it, she'd make it so they could actually work on it at the same time as doing other stuff.
Music was neat like that.
"You sure that their parents will agree to that part?" Haley asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I can't say for certain that they will. But I doubt they'll kick up a fuss about it. If anything it'd be one of their half siblings that would cause problems. Probably Kourtney or Kim. Khloe would probably like it, and Rob would probably be fine with it too" Billie replied after a short hum.
"You're saying that because those two are kind of bitchy" Haley said bluntly, which got a nod from Billie.
"Pretty much"
Haley just laughed softly in response, as they continued to drive towards their home. All the while, Billie had only one thought on her mind that entire time.
'Let's just hope that the Kardashian-Jenner family is not as bad as they seemed in my past life'
'Because if they are...'
'That will not be a fun teaching experience'
