Chapter 82: Meeting Jo Hyun again
I trembled as I tried to resist the overwhelming power of the monster before me by using the Guild energy in my body, but the effect was far too weak compared to an Esper.
Both of my knees nearly gave out, the bones in my body aching as if they were about to shatter. The Boss's energy weighed down on me, making my chest feel tight, each breath like swallowing sharp shards of glass.
I had used all of my strength to hold on, but the gap between me and it remained despairingly wide.
My eyes stung from the dust and the wind rushing past.
Maybe today is the day I die here, there's no Esper by my side anymore. A Guide like me has absolutely no way to survive and make it alone in the rift, and I was unlucky enough to fall right next to the Boss.
Jo Hyun... what a shame. I guess I won't be able to go back and see you again.
