"Did you remember to bring the file i requested for?" Alan asked Olive while they were in the car. He has a meeting with a very tough client .
"Yes I did"
"Good . Mr Salvatore is a very tough client and we need this deal"
"I went through the document . Don't worry sir we will get the deal."
"I know we will. Just giving you heads up since you will be doing the presentation."
"Ok?"
"Can you really go through everything under 5 minutes?."
"Can we make a deal?"
"Which is?"
"If we get this deal you have to trust me more , deal?"
"Deal but don't do anything stupid there, Ok?"
Oliver didn't reply rather calmly , he began to go through the document like it was a normal thing to revise 70 pages under 5 minutes .
Soon they arrived to a grand hotel where the meeting is to be held. Soon the meeting began. After five companies have presented it was the Sunrise group turn. Oliver did his presresentation and the room clapped for him.
"Mr Voss I really love your presentation" Salvatore said with a positive look on his face.
"Thank you Mr Salvatore" Alan replied.
"But do you think you are worthy of this contract"
"Just –" "I'll take over from here sir" Oliver interrupted.
"And why do you say so,sir?" he asked facing Mr Salvatore
"I don't think your company is developing"
"And why do you say that sir?"
"Your operation profits keeps dropping day by day"
"But you can't deny the fact that any project we handle always goes well"
"I know that but what if luck isn't by your side?".
Oliver just smirked and said"Luck must not always be at one's side before they succeed "
"And why do you say so?"
"If luck is indeed needed for one to succeed , then only a few people would be successful.Don,t you think so?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
Mr Salvatore took a moment to think about what Oliver just said. After 5 minutes of deep and critical thing he turned to Alan and said amusedly "I never knew your secretary was this down to earth".
"Well now you know" Alan replied looking at Oliver.
"Well after hearing each and everyone of you presentation. I happy to say that the Sunrise group have the deal." Claps resounded in the air for the Sunrise group.
"I hope this project goes as planned" he continued as he turned and stretched his hand out for a handshake.
"Yes it will" Alan replied as he shook his hands.
On their way back to the company the car was quiet except the music playing on the radio. If not a pin could be dropped and it will make noise.
"Next time don't interrupt me when I'm talking" Alan said breaking the silence
"And lose the deal?"
"No. Only when necessary" Alan replied slightly embarrassed .
Oliver was still curious about Lucy for some unknown reason. He still couldn't accept the fact that Lucy was Alan's younger sister.
"May I ask a question?"
"Shoot"
"Is Lucy really your sister?"
"Kind of."
"What do you mean?"
"When I was seven I found Lucy at the foot of a tree in on the beach.Sees like she was abandoned. My parent were always busy with work that they didn't have time for me. S I took in Lucy and cherished her as my sister."
Oliver felt relived when he heard that but he didn't know why he felt that way."
"Why do you ask?" Alan asked curiously.
"Oh, I just noticed that you two don't have any similar physical characteristics"
"You are the first to notice that. Anyways I'm impressed by you today . So you can take the rest of the day off."
"Ok, sir"
Alan got busy with his phon thereafter but Oliver started to update his plan in his head with a sinister smile on his face.
