The corridor shook once more, this time causing much larger chunks of stone to fall down. Learning from his past mistakes, Vikir ducked and weaved through an avalanche of stone, as well as leaping over large patches of darkness in the ground he walked on.
The mimics were in quick pursuit, or at least, as quick as their puppet like bodies could go. They too had to avoid being crushed by falling stones or falling into pits of endless void.
Meanwhile, Vikir was trying desperately to figure out how to get out of this predicament. There was little he could do to kill the mimics, as even dismembering them could not kill them, only rendering them unable to move.
As for trying to escape, he quickly guessed that the outside would be fake, and the entire space would collapse very soon into an endless expanse of darkness. Whether that spelled life or death, he could not ascertain, but he was not quite keen on the idea of falling to life or death.
