The sun snuck through cracks in the curtains, painting the dimly lit room a subtle orange hue. Aside from a small oil lamp which burned with a single wisp of flame, there was no other source of light brightening the unassuming.
The room was full of academic books, from historical tales to agriculture to engineering to Awakeners. There was no shortage of information present, though the person supposedly receiving this wealth of knowledge did not seem to appreciate it all too much.
Vikir sat on a cushioned chair, his head nestled between his arms as he laid upon a thick stack of books and half finished papers. He looked to be in deep sleep, not stirring even as a shadow loomed over his figure.
It was only until he felt a light tap on his shoulder did the frivolous young man rouse from his slumber.
Groaning slightly as he blinked rapidly, trying his best to regain his vision, Vikir vaguely felt the presence of someone else near him.
