[The Vault of User 001 - Inside the Dyson Sphere]
The golden holographic ticker tape in the center of the diamond plaza was a beacon of hope.
[Pantheon Group (PAN) - Current Price: 120 U-Shares.]
Because the bored, higher-dimensional Shareholders had invested in Alex's rebellion, the Board of Directors couldn't simply delete Sector 0 without destroying their investors' money. The red, glitching sky above the Dyson Sphere remained paused.
"We bought ourselves some time," Alex said, analyzing the decentralized terminal of the Genesis Crucible. "But the Board isn't going to just let us exist. They are monopolists. If they can't burn the factory, they will crash the stock."
As if on cue, the golden ticker tape violently flashed crimson.
[MARKET ALERT: MASSIVE SELL-OFF DETECTED.]
[Pantheon Group (PAN) - Current Price: 90 U-Shares... 70... 40...]
"Boss!" Valerius yelled, watching the numbers plummet. "What's happening? Did the Shareholders get scared?"
"No," Dawn's voice echoed from the Crucible. "It is a coordinated Short-Selling attack by the Board of Directors. They are borrowing millions of phantom shares of our stock and dumping them onto the market to artificially crash the price. If our stock hits 0 U-Shares, the Pantheon Group will be legally bankrupt. The Board will then have the legal right to liquidate Sector 0."
[The Oracle]
"Then we buy the dip," Alex's Tycoon Aura flared. "Dawn, use our 50 Million liquid U-Shares to create a buy-wall."
"Executing..." Dawn paused. "Error. My buy orders are being front-run. The Board is using their Tier-4 predictive algorithm, 'The Oracle'. It calculates every logical financial counter-measure you can take and places a counter-trade a microsecond before you do."
[Pantheon Group (PAN) - Current Price: 15 U-Shares.]
"It knows exactly how I think," Alex gritted his teeth. He was a master of capital, but he was fighting a machine that could see the future of mathematics. If he couldn't break the algorithm, they were going to be delisted in minutes.
Alex looked up. His eyes landed on Elena. She was standing quietly by the Genesis Crucible, watching the chaos. She had no digital footprint. She was resurrected by Precursor hardware.
"The Oracle predicts my moves because I have a System ID," Alex smiled, the realization hitting him like a lightning bolt. "But it can't predict what it can't see."
[The Anomaly CEO]
Alex marched over to the terminal.
"Dawn. Transfer the title of Chief Executive Officer of the Pantheon Group to Elena."
"Transferring..." Dawn confirmed. "Warning: The Oracle cannot parse the new CEO's data. Predictive modeling is failing."
"Alex, what are you doing?" Elena panicked as a golden halo of corporate authority suddenly projected over her head. "I don't know how to fight a cosmic stock war! I was an art history major!"
"I don't need you to fight them," Alex put his hands on her shoulders, looking her dead in the eyes. "The Board expects ruthless, calculated greed. To trigger a short-squeeze and force the stock up, we need to do something so irrational, so utterly human, that their algorithm breaks. Do whatever you want. Give them something they can't calculate."
[The Goodwill Dividend]
Elena looked at the red ticker tape.
[Current Price: 5 U-Shares. Bankruptcy Imminent.]
She looked at the Genesis Crucible—the machine of pure creation that had rebuilt her body. She stepped up to the Precursor forge and activated the Omniversal broadcast channel.
Across the higher dimensions, billions of Shareholders tuned in to watch the final moments of the Pantheon Group. They expected the CEO to beg for investments or threaten the Board.
Instead, a human woman in a simple white dress appeared on their screens.
"Hi," Elena said softly, her voice echoing across the multiverse. "The Board of Directors treats you like gamblers. They offer you endless wars and destruction for your entertainment. But they never actually create anything."
Elena placed her hands on the Genesis Crucible.
"I am the new CEO of the Pantheon Group. And as my first act, I am issuing a dividend to all current Shareholders. Not in cash. In life."
The Crucible flared with blinding, warm light. Elena channeled the pure Precursor energy—the same energy that brought her back—and digitized it.
[System Alert: Corporate Action Initiated by Anomaly.]
[Dividend Issued: 1 Drop of 'Genesis Sap' per Shareholder.]
[Asset Value: Unquantifiable.]
[The Squeeze]
In the Board's headquarters, 'The Oracle' algorithm crashed.
It tried to assign a monetary value to "Genesis Sap"—a miracle substance that could heal any wound and extend life. But "Goodwill" and "Miracles" were not in the Board's database. To the machine, the dividend was worth $0.
But to the Shareholders—ancient, decaying gods who had all the money in the universe but couldn't cure their own cosmic rot—it was priceless.
The Omniversal Exchange exploded.
The Shareholders didn't just buy the stock; they went rabid for it. They needed the shares to get the dividend.
[Purchase: 50,000,000 Shares - The Sovereign Fleet]
[Purchase: 200,000,000 Shares - The Astral Kings]
The buy orders flooded the market so fast the ticker tape turned blinding gold.
The price rocketed from 5 U-Shares, to 100, to 500, to 2,000.
[The Margin Call]
Because the Board had short-sold the stock at 90 U-Shares, they were legally obligated to buy it back. But the price was now 2,000 U-Shares.
[CRITICAL ALERT: BOARD OF DIRECTORS MARGIN CALL.]
[Deficit: -1.5 Trillion U-Shares.]
The Board's automated accounts were instantly liquidated to cover the massive losses. Trillions of Universal Shares were ripped from the Creators' vaults and transferred directly into the Pantheon Group's decentralized treasury.
Alex stood in awe as his balance updated.
[Current Decentralized Balance: 1.5 Trillion U-Shares.]
Elena stepped back from the Crucible, exhaling deeply. "Did... did I do it right?"
"Elena," Alex pulled her into a kiss as the red sky above them finally cleared, replaced by a perfect, untouchable blue. "You are the best CEO this company has ever seen."
