And with a burst of energy the crack opened as it released a shockwave which swept some people off their feet, and the energy from the crack in mid-air pulsing with a blue glow as it felt eerie to watch and when the people saw this their faces became ashen white and what was written on their faces was dread.
"Oh my God it's a spatial crack, run!!!" someone immediately yelled and everyone came back their senses and the scene turned to chaos as everyone made a run for it, car owners tried to drive but it was complete chaos as they crashed into other vehicles as tires screeched .
Everyone was in complete disarray and running in all directions even some unlucky ones were trampled on and children were separated from their mothers in the panic, it was a chaotic scene to look at.
Then from within the crack, the faint cries of strange creatures were heard and with every second the cries of the creatures got closer and then out of the spatial crack came hordes of creatures as their appearances were grotesque and terrifying as their presence screamed danger and the creatures stared at the fleeing crowd like predators looking at their prey before them and with this the creatures locked unto the fleeing crowds.
with a loud roar and screeches the creatures gave chase as they ran on four legs but their fore limbs were carved like elongated claws, they looked skinny with black cracks spread throughout their bodies
dominating their faces was a huge red eye with black slit pupils, which looking like staring at a nightmare itself and razor shark like teeth's
some of these creatures were larger than the rest some were the size of a truck, a van and the majority the size of a motorbike.
Cars were hurled in the air as the creatures gave chase and attacking anything on sight.
Meanwhile
At a café close to the academy's exit, seated are Alex, Zack and Mia, the atmosphere was in a gloomy state, Zack's expression was dull as the events earlier replayed like a tape in his memories.
"Who would had known they would turn out like this" Alex clenched his fists as his expression was filled with anger.
"I never expected she would turn out like this" Mia said with solemn look on her face as she remembered the words of Zoe.
Zack was just silent, the looks on Zoe's and Ben's face replaying over and over with their taunting words but what broke him the most was his failed awakening the red holographic pop up with its cruel verdict was a haunting memory of its own.
Tears silently streamed down Zack's cheek, as the image of the red holographic screen played in his head.
"Just like that, my dreams have come to a dead end" Zack started at the blue sky as an expression of lost hope carved on his face, they currently seated at the outdoor café table.
"Well Zack you still have us though" Mia said with a smile, but it could do little to fix the real damage done.
"I had thought we would had been able to attend the same academy together" Alex tightened his fists more.
"I guess this my reality" Zack spoke as he leaned back on his chair, as the sounds of celebration echoed around them, teenagers with smiles on their faces for their successful awakening
"This an emergency broadcast, there has been an appearance of a spatial crack of the blue class in Creek core sector district 4 and every citizen in the district is urged to find immediate ground shelters as they have been an appearance of level three dimensional creatures from the crack"
An emergency broadcast was broadcasted throughout the entire the sound systems in the academy.
There was a second of silence
The looks on everyone's face twisted in an instant, it was shock and dread.
when Zack heard this, he was shocked because one bad event was enough to make him despair but this one was complete dread the same expression of shock on his face.
"A spa…spatial crack" Mia stammered
"Our school is located in the district" Alex blurted out then the realization dawned on everyone.
At that moment, Zack looked up as he felt a tingling and lo and behold a van was flying towards the Cafe.
"Sh*t!! Mia! Alex! Move Now" Zack yelled at the two of them who were stunned, standing up from his seat he leaped towards Mia.
Alex saw the large shadow of the Van without a second thought, Alex jumped out of his chair, his body outline suddenly coated in an orange glow, he's reaction faster.
Zack caught Mia in his arms and jumped, time turned slow as the van crashed into the café; Glass and debris flying in all directions, the van ignited in flames and exploded.
A shard of Metal the size of a man's hand struck a boy square in the head, piercing his skull and blood spilled out like water.
The shockwave from the explosion swept Alex, Mia and Zack away violently, they landed on the hard ground.
"Argh" Zack groaned in pain as he had his body as a cushion as the shockwave blasted them away. His ear was ringing due to been close to the explosion.
"Damn this hurt like hell" Alex groaned in pain as he struggled to be on his feet
Mia looked at Robert dumbfounded, words refused to leave her mouth, the way he leaped towards her carried her and jumped away from danger.
"Hey Mia, ya alright?" Zack asked as he looked at her.
she turned her face away, been on unable to look straight into his eyes.
"Yes…am…okay" She spoke up.
He helped her get on her feet, other students around them where still reeling from the shockwave from the explosion that knocked them down.
Then they heard it, the screeches of the dimensional creatures, close and clear everyone's face went pale that moment and right at the academy entrance an entire group of the creature rushed in bringing down the gates.
"Skin Crawlers" Zack blurted out, he was shocked to the core, these creatures looked terrifying in reality, he had only studied about the creatures in books and had seen pictures of them in texts.
But seeing them real for the first time, Zack's face went white.
One of the skin crawlers lunged towards the students frozen with fear at the academy's entrance.
One of the skin crawlers stabbed a girl right in the left eye with its elongated claw limb, she let out a horrific scream of pure agony, the skin crawler lifted her up and with an aggressive swing of its limb.
It slammed her hard on the Marble ground, the back of her skull spilt open, the skin walker pulled out its claw limb, plucking out her eye ball in the process, she screamed so hard at the top of her lungs, the pain and torment she went through was like on other.
The skin crawler opened its mouth, rows of jagged razor like teeth revealed themselves, the skin crawler lunged at her face and began to chomp down on her face, she screamed in pain and terror as her face was devoured.
The same fate of death going for others around her.
Everyone looked at the Brutal massacre, frozen to the bone with fear.
"Run don't just stand there like a moron!!" Zack brought back Mia and Alex back to reality including the other students.
They all took to their heels instantly.
Zack held Mia by the arm as they ran as she took a quick look back at the unfortunate poor souls, she felt pity for them but now was determining their own survival.
A few Skin Crawlers chased after them, like a hungry pack of wolves.
"These things are damn fast" Alex took a quick glance back as they ran, as the skin crawlers were closing the distance quickly.
The unlucky students who weren't fast enough that fell back as they ran, where instantly pounced upon by the skin crawlers and where tore to shreds, blood and gore rained into the air.
"Please help me!!"
"Please don't leave me! Help me!"
Their pleas for help went on unanswered as of right one, everyone wanted to survive they were currently no match for level three dimensional creatures especially against skin crawlers.
Zack gritted is teeth as he heard their screams and pleas, but there was nothing he could anyway their fate had been sealed, for them it was getting to safety, the academy's underground shelter.
Then a skin crawler leaped into the air towards Mai as she was a step behind Zack while in front was Alex.
The skin crawler let out a screech as it leaped towards her.
"Mia Watch out!!" Zack shoved her to the side immediately.
Zack Pushed Mia to the side as the skin crawler which leaped towards her chomped the air with its teeth, missing its target.
Mia tumbled over as she was pushed to the side by Zack.
The skin crawler, landed on its four limbs twisted in an instant and lunged at Mia who was in a daze, her eyes widened in horror as saw the creature coming at her with its grotesque claws stretched out.
"MIA!!" Zack screamed her name at the top of his lungs, there was no way he could reach her on time, the creature outmatched him in speed.
(So, this is how it ends for me) She closed her eyes ready to accept her fate.
Zack ran towards her, but then
"Get the hell away from her!!"
