Date : November 5th - 2004
Jesper, Sophy and Lani were at an abandoned treehouse that they always hung out in since they met, at a windy afternoon.
"Man I never liked the weather here, I wish we could just leave''
Lani told them as she looked at the sky while laying down on the old and probably, moldy carpet.
Jesper got a message on his cell phone and told the others.
"Today's the day..."
"Yeah... Are you sure you wanna go along with his plan?"
Lani replied.
Sophy stayed silent, Jesper decided to go with Badr's plan.
Jesper and Sophy climbed down the tree house and before he got into the car Sophy gave him a long kiss.
"Take care.. "
Sophy tells Jesper as she holds his hand And just like that Jesper got into the car and blew her a little kiss before he turned on the car and drove off leaving dust in the air and Sophy looked at the car slowly shrinking smaller and smaller until she couldn't see it anymore.
About 12 minutes later Jesper arrived at the location and when he got out both him and Badr had a brief chat.
''Alright we have around... ''
Badr says as he checks his watch
''6 Minutes until him and his crew get to the restaurant, oh and I forgot to tell you about this one thing''
Badr indicates to follow him as he walks to the trunk of his car and pulls out box filled with thermite and 2 remote detonators.
''Why do we need thermite just to kill him, don't I already have enough explosives to kill him? ''
Jesper asks Badr.
''Good question, but if you do it your way, we're gonna arouse more suspicion that someone killed him and the cops would trace it back to us within days but.. If you do it as I say, they might find out a week after investigating the accident, It would look like the driver lost control and crashed into a building or wall and then from a fuel leak the car catches on fire and explodes, still that won't guarantee that the police won't find out sooner or later''
Badr tells Jesper in great detail as Jesper's face showed an expression of amusement.
''Never knew you were that good at explosives and killing people''
Jesper tells Badr jokingly but then out of nowhere 2 cars rolled up to the diner, both Jesper and Badr ducked and hid behind Badr's car as they watched them park their cars and then get out, but instead of going inside they stood outside waiting for someone.
Presumably, the person Badr wants gone.
''If I'm correct, this means that dominic will be here any minute now''
Badr tells Jesper, then another 3 cars slowly roll up to the restaurant where the original 2 men escort the target into the building and Badr stops Jesper from going.
''Not yet, one of them will stay outside while they're having fun in there, but this guard always takes some stuff that fucks him up real good''
Badr tells Jesper, few minutes later the guard walks towards his car and takes out a packet of god knows what, and proceeds to snort it.
''So this dominic guy, he's one of the creators of Al Qalaa? I thought they were all arabs''
Jesper asks Badr as they both are still ducking behind the car.
''Yeah I thought the same, until they started killing people for no reason, I had to investigate it myself, found out he a filthy rich American who has connections all across the middle east''
Badr replied to Jesper, a few minutes went by and Badr gave him the go as they both fast walked to the target's car and each of them planted things in different places, Badr planting the thermite on the axle of the car and brake pads, Jesper planted the explosives on the gas tank and on the underside of the engine, both of them avoided anything that might kill the target besides the fire that would happen.
Once Badr confirmed everything was set they both ran back to their cars and got in.
2 Hours Later.
The target walks out with his bodyguards waddling around and stumbling to get into his car, once they turned on the engine.
Badr and Jesper turned on theirs.
When the cars pulled out of the parking space and onto the road.
So did they and before they tailed the target Badr rolled down the window and told Jesper.
''First my thermite goes off and the car swerves off the road, wait a minute or two until you start seeing some smoke coming from the engine, and then set off your explosives and once it exploded, go home don't stop for a sandwich or nothing''
Jesper noded and they both tailed the target, Jesper's heart was beating intensely.
And then suddenly the targets car swerved from right to left, but instead of hitting a building or wall, it completely avoided hitting anything, Jesper panicked and tried to contact Badr but before he could, there was an awful loud screech and then a loud crash.
''Oh fuck...''
Badr said as he just seen the targets car, crash into a civilian's car, that was completely unplanned for, and then as Badr told Jesper he waited a few minutes until the smoke come out, Jesper pressed the button.
The car exploded and and it started a giant fire, The fire ragged as the other car was on fire and the driver was struggling to get out, Jesper sped across Badr as he was told and headed home.
meanwhile Badr drove by slowly and called the fire department and reported the fire, as he hung up he disposed of the phone by throwing it in in the burning car and drove off.
Jesper got home safely and without any trouble, he went to take a shower and got a fresh set of clothes and walked to the kitchen to pour himself a glass of whiskey and downed it, he slowly undressed himself and walked into his and Sophy's bedroom, he saw she was asleep and not wanting to wake her up he slowly climbed into bed and tried to fall asleep.
He couldn't get it out of his mind for some reason, he felt intense fear, just as a kid would fear when they did something and then await for the punishment from their parents, instead he cuddled sophy, calming himself down and falling asleep minutes later.
Date: November 12th
A week after the events of the assassination Jesper dreamed of the burning car while standing in the middle of the road watching it.
The street was cold.
Empty and dark, just the light from the burning car and an odd sound coming from the car beside it.
A child's voice, screaming.
As Jesper walked slowly towards the crying child and suddenly the car burst into flames as well, but Jesper just kept walking. And then when he got close to the car he saw it was just an infant, and it's mother dead from the collision, he heard a faint voice echoing through the empty street, muffled and cold, slowly growing louder and unmuffled by the second.
Jesper jumped forward trying to save the child before the fire could consume the entire car but then.
All of the sudden, the car explodes a second time, throwing him back onto the cold street, and he felt the same fear he felt that day when he tried to sleep.
The voice grew stronger and louder but now he can make out what it said.
(Awake) .
(Awake) .
And the voice stopped and so did the crying.
Jesper stood up and looked at the car, Jesper looked around the street and he saw no one was there, not even a single car, out of the blue the ground started shaking and Jesper lost balance and fell backwards, hitting his head.
"Wake up for god's sake you're gonna miss breakfast''
Sophy tells Jesper as she shakes him awake.
''W-what?''
Jesper tells her as he slowly opens his eyes.
''Breakfast! get your sleepy ass out of the bed! "
Sophy yelled at him as she left the room, Jesper got up from the bed slowly going to the bathroom to brush his teeth and rinse his face.
''Finally your up, you also had some unknown number calling you for like 7 times''
Sophy tells Jesper as she hands him the phone.
''Hm? Ckel th-um bck''
Jesper tells her while brushing his teeth.
''No you do it, maybe it's your so called friend''
Sophy air quote's as she told Jesper.
As he finished brushing his teeth he told Sophy
''Fine''
And grabbed the phone and called the number back, the phone rang for a few seconds and then he picked up the phone. ''Yo, new number, I thought you got arrested or some shit''
Badr says with a worried tone.
''Nah I'm just a deep sleeper''
Jesper replies as he laughed.
''We'll thankfully your still here, and hey, sorry for calling you after a week I'm kind of a busy man, but let's grab a few drinks and eat dinner tonight, on me, if you have the time of course''
Badr tells Jesper, taking a long pause before replying.
''hey? You still there? ''
Badr asked.
''Ye-yeah I'm just thinking''
Jesper replied.
''Bring the others with you too''
Badr said as Jesper was going to ask.
''Wait, for real? ''
Jesper seemed surprised.
''Hell yeah, well anyways, don't wanna bother you too much, talk to you later homie''
Badr told Jesper.
''Alright, talk later''
Jesper replied before Badr hung up.
Jesper finished washing his face and walked out of the room and into the kitchen and sees Sophy preparing food and putting them onto plates,
Jesper kisses her from behind and grabbed a glass from the cabinet to pour him some juice.
''Heres your food, and could you put Lani's food on the table too? ''
Sophy asked Jesper politely.
''Sure'' Jesper replied.
As he grabbed the plates and went to the dining room, Lani took the plate from Jesper and sat down to eat and so did Sophy, Jesper felt like he had to tell them about what Badr said.
''Badr invited us for some dinner and drinks'' Jesper told them as he ate his food.
''Really? '' Sophy asked and Lani came to the tape and sat down.
''Yeah, he said to bring you guys with me'' Jesper replies and Lani gets confused.
''Who invited us to where? '' She asks with a confused tone.
''Badr invited us for dinner tonight'' Sophy tells her as she rolls her eyes and says.
''Do I really have to go and meet this asshole again? ''
''Shut up Lani, he's being nice to us, he even invited us for dinner, sounds like a charming man don't you think so Jesper? '' Sophy tells Lani and Jesper plays along with a british accent.
''Oh yes, such a modest fellow, he'd suit you very well Mrs. Lanira'' Jesper replied jokingly.
Lani gets angry at both of them but contains herself and eats her food.
''If you want to go then sure, and if you don't, fine by us''
Jesper tells her as he stuffs a whole spoon full of mashed potatoes.
''For fuck sake, shut the fuck up already, I'll go! '' Lani told Jesper and continued to eat.
Later Jesper went to grab a few snacks for Sophy and Lani because they asked him, and he parked his car beside a store and walked all into it, grabbed some candy, soda and biscuits, as he went to the cashier his attention was grabbed by the tv reporting an accident, he went pale as he saw the news reporting the accident that happened a week ago, the doing of him and Badr.
The cashier said, ''52 Dirhams''
Jesper just gave the money without saying a word, and left the store, got into his car and went back home, when he got back home he asked Sophy to turn on the news.
(-lice said that the accident might've been caused by the driver being heavily drunk and losing consciousness and crashing into an on-coming car, but Police are still investigating the incident) The news reporter said as Jesper sighed a sigh of relief.
''Here's your snacks'' Jesper said as he put the plastic bag onto a couch.
''Thanks but, you need some water? you're sweating balls'' Lani tells Jesper and he nods his head and Lani goes to grab some water.
Sophy grabs Jesper's hand and asks him''You alright baby? ''
He puts his face onto Sophy's hand and said, ''Now that i'm with you, I am''
Sophy hugs him before Lani comes with the glass of water.
''Here, drink up'' Lani tells Jesper as she hands him the glass and he drinks it.
''Im fine yall, just a little shaken up'' Jesper said as he stood up and removed his jacket.
''Are you sure though? '' Lani asked.
''Yeah so there's nothing to worry about''.
Jesper pats Lani's head as he gets up and walks to the bedroom, he was laying down on the bed and fell asleep.
hours later he gets woken up by Sophy telling him
''The guy sent you the location, it sounds like a fancy place ''
Lani comes into the room saying ''Oh? let me see''
and Sophy hands her the phone, and she searches the name on her laptop ''Oh shit... you weren't lying'' Lani added on as Jesper woke up.
''Give me that... '' Said Jesper.
He looks at the name of the place
''Hm, pretty nice...'' Jesper replied,
''Pretty nice is an understatement'' Lani said as she looked at the mirror in the bedroom.
''Well, me and Lani will get ready, if you need anything we'll be in her room'' Sophy said as Lani and her went to do girl stuff.
''Jesus, where the hell does he get this sort of money from? '' Lani asked herself as she walked out of Jesper's and Sophy's room.
Around 2 hours later everyone was ready, Jesper with his brilliant looking suit, Sophy was looking astonishing with her red satin dress, and Lani with her black halter dress fitting her beautifully.
''Alright, is everyone ready? '' Jesper asked.
''Yes'' Lani and Sophy said in unison.
''Got your shoulder bags and wallets and some of the most unnecessary stuff? '' Jesper asked them again,
And they both replied with ''Yes! Can we go now!? ''.
''Jeez, alright lets go'' Jesper laughed after he said that and locked the doors, before leaving they checked the location again and then left,
minutes later Jesper asked the others ''A 5 star luxurious hotel huh? ''.
''That's what we also thought'' Lani replied to Jesper
Sophy jokingly said, ''Real question is, will there be a lovely man for our little Lani''
Lani sighed and rolled her brown eyes in annoyance.
When they arrived at the location Badr sent, they saw the huge hotel and the luxury cars parked outside.
''Cool..'' Lani said as her eyes darted around, then Jesper got a call from Badr,
''Hey, y'all on the way? '' Badr asked,
''We're actually outside the hotel right now, I'll park somewh-'' Jesper gets cut off
''No no, go into the drop off area the valet should take your car and park it themselves, like I said, on me''.
Jesper agreed and did as Badr told him and then asked him when he got out of the car.
''So where do we meet? '' And Badr replied
''I'll meet you guys at the lobby, give me just 10''
After a short conversation they hung up, the trio sat down at the lobby armchairs and chatted together,
''Cool looking place, not gonna lie'' Jesper said and Sophy agreed,
Sophy and Jesper both noticed Badr walking up to them but Jesper decided to keep quiet and told Sophy to do the same.
''It looks so beautiful and pretty'' Lani tells the others as she looks at the ceiling and not noticing her surroundings,
And Badr replied to Lani
''Not as beautiful as you Ms Lanira''.
Lani got confused and looked down from the ceiling and saw Badr standing beside Jesper,
they shook hands and then Badr tells them to follow him,
''He did not just pull that shit on me'' Lani whispered to Sophy's ear all frustrated and red in the face,
''I mean, he wasn't lying'' Sophy replied and giggled.
''The restaurant is around the corner and trust me, the food here is absolutely fantastic''
Badr tells the others as they slowly walk to the restaurant, the server leads them to a reserved table and they all sit down,
''I have to say, you all look good tonight'' Badr said,
Jesper and Sophy thanked him but Lani stayed silent, as always.
''I also have to confess something, if my eyes haven't already, that dress looks amazing on you, and you're just, wow, loss of words'' Badr tells Lani,
Rolling her eyes and turning her face to the side, she says.
''Oh shut up...''
Badr smiled.
''Anyways, I invited you today because of Jesper's successful work, he's a work of art I must say''
Badr tells the others and Sophy replies,
''That's my Husband for you'' as she kissed Jesper and they hugged,
''So cheers to Jesper's excellent work and to your un-announced marriage'' Badr lifts his glass and so does Jesper and Sophy, but not Lani, Sophy signals Lani to do as they do and she gives in and lifts her glass and they all tap each others glasses.
Clink, Clink
They cheered and drank the champagne, they all started to have fun.
2 hours passed by like nothing,
''I would love to go to Vegas at least once in my lifetime'' Sophy tells the others,
''Vegas? It's such a fucking shit show there'' Badr replied to Sophy and Lani jumped in saying.
''Hey, las vegas is cool and all but, I find Tokyo more entertaining in my opinion''
Badr stopped chuckling and looked at her while drinking the last of his wine,
''What? '' Lani asked him with a confused face,
''Now that you mention it, funny, because I adore Tokyo too'' Badr replies as pointed to himself with the wine glass.
''Oh really? or are you just trying to pull one of those slick moves again? '' Lani asked as she's half sober,
''No, I'm not, I really do love the Japanese culture and traditions'' Badr replied.
''Relax Lani, no need to be upset'' Jesper tells Lani, but she just mimics what Jesper said,
''Well anyways I have to tell you all something''
Badr tells the trio,
Sophy was curious so she asked, ''About? ''
He took a long breath in and exhaled then said.
''I have plans for Jesper and me in Asia and, it would be nice if the entire group went there instead of just one, if you get where I'm coming from'' .
The trio was surprised ''Asia? Where exactly?'' Sophy tells Badr and Lani scoffs, ''Japan, as I told you guys before, but sadly not Tokyo though. '' Badr replied to her but took a long pause
''Not yet thought'' slowly said under his breath.
Lani giggled and told him jokingly ''You're funny, you know that? ''
Badr replied to her ''Girl what, I'm being deadly serious'' as he rolled his eyes too.
''What business do I have in Japan? '' Jesper asks with a serious face when it comes down to work.
Badr took a second to say something but then looked around and pulled out a pen and took some tissue from the tissue holder and wrote something on it,
''Speed-Boat sales, Japan is a great place to sell speed boats, Japanese costumers Dig it'' Badr slickly says as he slowly pushes the tissue to Jesper, and He reads it (Vehicles, eliminating interests.)
Jesper looked back at Badr and nodded no, and Badr sighed, ''Expected but, just think about it'' Badr tells Jesper, ''Not possible, too much investment'' Jesper replies.
''Okay then, let's just have some fun while your here'' Badr tells the group,
An hour or two later the four had finally had enough of drinking and talking so they decided to leave, as they were walking to the lobby Badr tapped on Lani shoulder,
''What? ''
''Can we talk? just the two of us, if that's possible? '' Badr asked her,
She agrees as Jesper and Sophy were still walking to the lobby,
Badr and Lani took their time walking behind them,
''I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable with my compliments, I just wanted to tell you I genuinely felt'' Badr tells Lani,
''No It's fine, it's just that you don't know me and I don't know you, and you can't just be complimenting me randomly, it's weird'' Lani replied to Badr.
''I respect that, and again I'm sorry'' Badr tells her as he chuckled a little and Lani noticed,
''What's funny? '' Lani asked,
Badr looked at her and said
''You seem like the most unapproachable person from the outside, but when I got to know you just a little, you're an interesting person''
Badr tells her and she looked at Sophy and Jesper as they walked in front of them, holding hands and talking with each other.
''Thank you, same goes for you'' Lani replied with a soft tone,
And Badr looked away with a smile on his face, after a little more chit chat between the two they finally got to the valet parking area and waited for their cars,
Jesper's car got delivered first so Jesper and Sophy get into the car and Lani was going to jump in but Badr called her name.
''Lani..''
She replied ''Hm? ''
''We should hang out more, I-I mean, like all of us'' stuttered a little as he tells her.
She softly said, ''Yeah sure'' and got into the car,
Badr watched her climb into the car and waved Jesper and the others, and just like that Jesper drove off.
He took a second after the car sped off onto the distance,
''I'm a dumbass..'' Badr said under his breath as the valet parked his car.
Meanwhile Sophy was asking Lani about what they were talking about,
''He tries to be a gentlemen every second for fuck sakes'' Lani tells her and Sophy replied to her.
''But was he nice thought isn't he?'' Lani looked out through the window and said
''Yeah...I guess...''.
Date : November 13th
Sophy wakes up at around 5 AM with a huge migraine, she looks over at Jesper and he's still sleeping.
She gets out of bed and walks to the dresser that is beside the bathroom, takes 3 pills and downs some week old water with it, Then walked back to the bed but she noticed Jesper's Laptop was still on.
Curiously, she looked through the Laptop expecting to find something unpleasant, nope, all there were were images of the places they traveled to, their pictures together and a bunch of useless documents.
(Thank god there was nothing weird there, but wait I haven't looked through everything yet)
Sophy says in her head, she clicked on the email icon and it popped up instantly, 2 unread messages, Sophy opens one of the emails and reads in her head,
The amount of 10.000 US Dollars was added your account via cheque.
(Was it that guy? Or... let me read the other on-)
Jesper stretched his legs and Sophy got spooked for a second, so she decided to just head to bed and ask Jesper about it in the morning.
Time : 8 AM
''The hell? 500 thousand? '' Jesper talked to himself out loud, it woke up Sophy and she sat upright and rubbed her eyes,
''Hmm? Whats wrong honey?'' Said Sophy,
''Badr sent 500 thousand for some reason'' Jesper tells Sophy as she is still half asleep,
Jesper gets up and calls someone but Sophy falls onto the pillow and slowly falls asleep but still could hear what Jesper was saying, ''Hey..Was that you that sent five hun- Oh...Thank man but like whats it for? Huh...l-like...Right now? In two weeks? Its still too earl- Alright alright... I'll tell them when they'll wake up'' Jesper talks to someone on the phone and Sophy finally falls asleep.
(Jesus I have no idea how they'll react to this)
Jesper thought to himself as he walked into the bedroom and saw that Sophy fell asleep, so he opened the cupboard and was rustling through something, and grabbed a key.
Then walked out of the room and into the hallway, went to the storage room and unlocked it, pulled out 3 luggage bags, 2 smaller bags out of the storage room and then locked it again.
Lani woke up and went to have a quick bite of some food and saw Jesper taking the bags out,
''Umm... What are you doing?'"
She asked Jesper she walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge,
''I know it's out of the blue but... Badr wants us to leave in 2 weeks'' Jesper tells Lani as he walks into the kitchen,
''Weird, didn't you say no to the offer?''
Said Lani as she bit into a block of cheddar cheese.
''Don't eat the whole damn thing like last time'' Jesper tells Lani and she yells back ''I didn't anything eat for a week!! ''.
Around 4 hours later, Sophy woke up from bed and walked into the living room, grabbed the tv remote and sat down on the sofa,
''Hey, good morning sleeping beauty'' Lani tells Sophy, her hair all messy,
''Mornin, uh, what are those bags doing out of the storage room? Y'all cleaning it out? ''
Sophy asked questions but Jesper walked into the living room from the balcony, where he had to take a couple of calls,
''Were traveling soon, that's why the bags are out'' Jesper tells Sophy as she looks back at the bags.
''Man...I haven't really seen this bag since we got back from the US, aww look at my little old baggy'' Sophy says in a sad tone while picking up the bag.
''Goofy looking bag Soph'' Lani told Sophy and giggled,
Sophy got a irritated and said
''Shut up already, it's not like you don't still have that toy bear that your dad bought you''.
''Cut it off, both of you, anyways, wanna go grab some stuff for the trip'' Jesper tells them as he turns off his cell phone.
''Wait, when are we going? You never mentioned when '' Sophy asked,
Jesper tried to answer but Lani told her first,
''In 2 weeks, don't you both feel like this guy is a little too sketch? ''
Jesper took a little pause before answering,
''I mean, I trust him, I think you guys should too... ''
Time : 4:48 pm
While the group were still shopping for winter clothes and other stuff, Jesper got a call and he walked outside of the store to talk to Badr.
''Didn't Jesper refuse the offer Badr gave him? '' Sophy asked Lani as they were picking some clothes,
''Yeah I noticed that too and asked him, but he just avoided answering'' Lani tells Sophy,
Jesper walked back into the store and went to Sophy and Lani as they finished their shopping spree and headed back home.
After about 3 hours, Jesper told them that Badr called him and asked if they could hang out again,
''Where does he want to go now?'' Lani asked Jesper and he answered,
''Amusement park, almost an hour from here, so yall want to go?'' Jesper asks.
Sophy was fine with it but Lani was still thinking about it,
''Fine I'll get ready'' She told Jesper and he went to get ready himself, after getting ready he grabbed his keys and headed out of the apartment.
Sophy and Lani were doing their make up and making themselves look nice, meanwhile Jesper went to refuel the car before going to the theme park with the others,
Well....
That's what Jesper told Lani and Sophy, but little did they know that Jesper is going to pick up Badr and fuel the car up.
''What took you so long? '' Jesper asked them as they ran towards the car together,
''Sorry we were just doing our hair, our bad'' Lani told Jesper as she and Sophy jumped into the car and shut the door.
''Why does it smell like...Oud? '' Lani noticed the smell of a woody type of perfume and asked Jesper.
''Uhh, I bought me a couple of those today actually, not gonna lie, I like the smell of it and stuff'' Jesper replied but Lani can tell that he's lying, he hated it.
''You hate it though...'' Sophy tells him.
There was a loud silence in the car for a few seconds, which felt long as hell.
''Muah! I have risen from my eternal slumber, who dares disrupt thy- Oh hello there, where did you guys come from?''
Badr said as he sat up like a vampire,
''What the fuck is he doing in the trunk? '' Lani asked Jesper and he stayed silent trying to hold his laughter, But instead of her ranting about how they shouldn't trust this guy, she did not say a word after that.
''I'll leave don't worry about it, sorry for annoying you guys''
Badr said while he tried to open the trunk door but Sophy stopped him and said
''Hey, hey, I don't mind the company to be honest'' And Jesper backed her up by saying
''The more the merrier, right? ''.
Badr looked back at the trio and asked,
''What about you Lani? ''
The car went silent like it did before and finally,
she cracked,
''Fine... Just don't annoy the shit out of me'' Said Lani and turned her face to look over the window.
''Thanks, alright let's close this thing up and leave'' Badr told the group as he struggled a little with closing it.
eventually he did manage to pull it hard enough that it crashed back into place.
And the trio was off to the Amusement park and into their little adventure.
