I couldn't shake the feeling that I was to blame for Oliver's state of mind right now. If I didn't take him back with me, he would have a chance to say goodbye. Poor woman was probably worried about her son. This was all my fault.
We ended the trip early and went back home. After ordering supper ,I walked him to his room. Overcome with grief, he didn't want to eat so I had to coax him before he took a small bite of his food. That night, guilt ate me up.
The following morning, I arrived at Oliver's room to give him some breakfast. " Good Morning, Oliver"
"Take it back, I'm not hungry"came his reply, which made me frown but before I could come up with a reply his stomach growled loudly. Biting back my smile,I said "Well your stomach says otherwise, now eat something and I'll take you somewhere."With that I sat down to watch eat with him.
Oliver finished the food and got dressed quickly to see my surprise. We went to the infirmary to see his mother. The medical personnel here had started to nurse her back to health so she looked better. It seems Oliver wanted some time with his mom so I left to see my baby brother Ronnie.
Ronnie hadn't come out of his room since the incident on his birthday. To be fair, his brother was dead and sister captured so he was dealing with a lot of grief. The room felt dark and gloomy as with the curtains drawn sunlight couldn't quite reach parts of the room. As his big sister, it was responsibility to console him and tell him it was okay but I was too busy mourning.
The sight of him tugged at my heartstrings. He had eye bags under his reddened eyes with sunken cheeks and a red nose. "I heard you haven't left your room for a long time, why don't we go for a walk? Come on, how else are you supposed to get some sunlight!" He was wasn't even looking at me. "How would Nate feel about this, about you rotting in your bed?" Sitting down next to him on the bed, I placed my hand on his face and turned it to face me."Please, if not for you then for me?" Finally, my words had gotten to him and he nodded.

The walk seemed to have taken some weight of his shoulders. A smile was on his face when we got back so I hugged him, said goodbye, and went back to my room.
