When we woke up, the fire we had lit was nothing but ashes. There was nothing left of it. So we hurried to leave the forest, since we had no magic potions left and we needed to buy some once we reached the next place.
Now that we had taken care of everything that happened in the cave, we all felt better and there was no longer any discomfort between us. On the road we encountered many beasts, and since they were stronger they served as training for me to sharpen my magic, because I didn't have a sword.
So I focused on developing my natural element even further. While we fought those beasts, Master was sitting in the corner, resting and watching how we defeated them.
I already knew their weak points so it was easy to kill them. After fighting pack after pack of them, I was exhausted and wanted a break, since my mana had been drained from fighting so much.
So I went to rest while chatting with Master, and Lilia kept training. I hadn't even recovered my energy completely, but I went back to training even harder again.
Because I wanted to become stronger both in magic and in swordsmanship. More than a week had passed since we entered the forest, and the training grew more intense each time, killing more beasts, and after three more days we finally arrived at another town.
When we arrived, this town was very different from the other one. It looked much more impressive, and the air felt better than in the previous town. But it was already nighttime, so we urgently needed a room. There were more people in this tavern than in the other one from the previous town. We talked to the attendant and rented a room.
But even so, we managed to find a room to stay in for the night and sleep under a roof. Since we had already eaten earlier in the forest, we didn't go downstairs to buy food because we were full.
But suddenly we started hearing noises coming from downstairs, yet we didn't go down because it had nothing to do with us. I guess it was a fight between drunk people. Maybe we would've gotten involved if we were down there, but we weren't.
Although this tavern felt more lively than the other one, I think it's because on the first night the old man fought, and the next night he wasn't even himself. Besides, we didn't even stay more than two days in that town. I hope we can stay here for a while…
