Chapter 28 - SIGNED

"Tell me your thoughts."

Son Seok-woo remained noncommittal, allowing him to continue.

"OTT is the future trend. From the dramas I've starred in, it's clear that televisions are slowly losing their dominant influence. The internet is the mainstream for future development."

"Online platforms have many advantages: they guarantee revenue, ensure programming, and most importantly, they don't restrict creativity, and their distribution channels are very wide."

"Of course, this is just my humble opinion; it still depends on how the company arranges things."

Actually, the most crucial factor was the impact of the flu, but Kwon Hyun Hyuk couldn't say that.

As a powerful figure in the current film and television industry, Son Seok-woo could certainly see the rapid development of OTT. However, to what extent it could develop, and whether it could overturn television stations, was still an unknown.

"I will seriously consider it. OTT is indeed a part of future development."

Kwon Hyun Hyuk naturally knew that his words carried little weight, and such a conversation couldn't change the mind of someone in charge of a large company.

But the key was that he said it.

Time would naturally prove whether what he said was reasonable. By then, Son Seok-woo would naturally realize that half a year ago, there was a young man who had told him about the importance of OTT.

At that time, would he still lack influence? Would his words still carry little weight? Would he still be unable to influence the company's arrangements for his career?

Park Jun-jung, who had been listening to Kwon Hyun Hyuk's unconventional conversation with Son Seok-woo, saw him act on his own initiative again and tacitly approved his approach.

People in the entertainment industry are most superstitious about success. As long as you succeed, even if it's pure dumb luck, people will join you in celebrating.

He could already see that Kwon Hyun Hyuk was a person with his own ideas and opinions, and with a successful experience already under his belt, it was difficult to criticize anything.

"Then I have no more questions."

Kwon Hyun Hyuk fully expressed his trust, made a bold stroke, and signed the contract directly.

Seeing Kwon Hyun Hyuk so decisive in reaching an agreement, Son Seok-woo's face broke into a hearty smile, and he shook his hand.

Kwon Hyun Hyuk officially signed, becoming a member of BH Entertainment.

"Welcome to BH."

With the contract signed, he was one of their own. Son Seok-woo patted Kwon Hyun Hyuk's arm to show his warmth.

"Let's find a suitable time to meet Byunghun together and welcome Kwon Hyun Hyuk to the company."

Meeting the company's two bosses and having a meal to get acquainted was always standard practice for new actors joining the company.

"No problem, after wandering for so long, I finally have a home."

Kwon Hyun Hyuk no longer had the serious and opinionated demeanor he had during the negotiation, laughing and joking.

"Since Park Jun-jung is here, he'll show you around the company and arrange everything for you."

After a few brief exchanges, Son Seok-woo said.

The two left the office first, and Son Seok-woo pondered matters concerning Kwon Hyun Hyuk's future development alone.

He then made several phone calls, constantly discussing something.

Only after leaving the office did he truly relax.

"From now on, your living place will be considered a dormitory. The company will cover the rent. A manager's car and assistant will be arranged for you within two days."

"From now on, I will serve as your main manager."

"Below me, there are executive and publicity managers, handled by the company's management team."

The main manager is responsible for the overall planning of the artist's development and positioning. Additionally, Park Jun-jung is also responsible for resource liaison and business cooperation.

Since Park Jun-jung was the head of the management department, he was essentially the top manager.

"The company is preparing several major projects. It's a great time for you to join this year; you've caught all the good days."

BH Company is not only a management company but also a production company. Although it cannot compare to the production volume of a few leading companies, it often participates in large productions, has access to many projects, and also launches its own major projects annually.

"What kind of projects are they?"

Kwon Hyun Hyuk asked curiously.

"A project in collaboration with Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, and another thriller-type project that the company is also investing in."

"They are still in the early stages of preparation; actual production won't start until next year."

Park Jun-jung said, then looked at Kwon Hyun Hyuk and continued.

"Netflix is behind all these projects, which is why Son Seok-woo wasn't surprised at all when you mentioned them in the office earlier."

As a seasoned industry professional, he clearly saw more and further than outsiders, having already started to act and bet in advance.

"There should be a role for you then, but for now, you still need to transition. Get ready for your next drama first."

Park Jun-jung thought for a moment, first calming Kwon Hyun Hyuk's mind, so he wouldn't get carried away.

"I understand."

Kwon Hyun Hyuk nodded.

"Then I'm relieved."

Although Park Jun-jung said this, after everything that had happened recently, he no longer had to worry about Kwon Hyun Hyuk's personal matters; he was very reassuring.

"I'll take you back to the set first."

After showing Kwon Hyun Hyuk around the company, Park Jun-jung took him back to the ongoing film set, then reminded him before leaving.

"Don't forget to call Hyo Joo and tell her. After all, you'll be considered family from now on."

"Okay."

Kwon Hyun Hyuk had been keeping this in mind, so he wasn't surprised when Park Jun-jung brought it up.

When he turned and went back onto the set, filming was still in progress. Kwon Hyun Hyuk found an empty corner and called Han Hyo-joo.

Beep beep beep.

"Kwon Hyun Hyuk?"

"Sister Han Hyo-joo."

Kwon Hyun Hyuk spoke first, but Hyo Joo had already started speaking before him.

"I forgot to congratulate you. Your debut has been very well received."

Han Hyo-joo had been following the drama and had seen its impressive subsequent reception.

"Haha, I'll keep working hard."

Kwon Hyun Hyuk didn't deny it, shamelessly continuing.

"Today I went to the company and met CEO Son Seok-woo. I signed the contract, so from now on, Sister Hyo Joo will be my senior."

Hyo Joo was a little surprised, but her tone quickly changed to congratulate him.

"Congratulations! You'll be the youngest member of our company now."

"This is a good opportunity. I've recently looked at a movie script for you. It's currently missing a young actor, and the role might be somewhat challenging."

Han Hyo-joo had previously promised to help Kwon Hyun Hyuk, and she brought it up at this opportune moment.

"Really?"

"Yes, it's for playing a mentally challenged teenager. The role isn't extensive, but it's a suitable role to take on currently. If you can wait, I can look for other options for you later."

Having been in the industry for over a decade, Han Hyo-joo knew many famous writers, directors, and producers, and also had connections with executives from some production companies, so finding a suitable role wasn't too difficult.

Movie!

From a television actor to a movie actor was definitely a leap. Some people said movies were art, but no one said television dramas were art.

Suddenly, it was as if the situation had changed dramatically, and the world had abruptly become vast and clear.
