The day ended and Hunter went to his mother's restaurant. His mother saw him and was looked somewhat depressed. He had gone to his usual spot. She went to where he was seated.
"What's wrong?' She asked worriedly.
"Claire is what's wrong with me. "
"What did she do to you?"
"She turned me on and then turned me down. "
"Wait. Does that bother you?"
"No. "
"Your no seems to be a lie. Have you fallen for her?"
"I think so. "
"Maybe she too has fallen for you. "
"Why?"
"If she turned you on, then maybe there is a possibility that she likes you too. "
"I don't think that. If she can turn you on, then maybe she likes you."
"That's impossible. She has been avoiding me for days now. "
""If you really are my son, please ensure that she falls for you. If you don't then, I will personally severe my ties with you. "
"You can't do that mother. "
"I can. She is the only daughter-in-law that I have accepted. If it's not her, I am not accepting anyone else."
"Fine. I will be staying here for the night, please accept me."
"It's also understandable that couples do argue. Give yourself some time off with her. "
"I need to go to meet a colleague of mine to discuss some things then I will be back at night."
Hunter didn't wait for His mother's response. He left for Chloe's house. They discussed for a long while concerning the team building activities. They finished discussing it when he got a call from Roy.
"What's wrong?"
"Are you coming to the basketball court?"
"No. I have work related things that I am discussing with a colleague. "
There was silence on the other end and Hunter thought that he had hung up. He was about to put his phone aside when Roy decided to speak up.
"Are you with a female colleague or a male colleague?"
"Why are you asking me this question?"
"I just want to know. "
"A female colleague. "
"Where are you guys at?"
"Her house. Since when did you start asking such questions? You are scaring me."
"I just want to know your whereabouts since I have to explain to the team why you will not be in the court today. "
"Ok. "
Roy was in the basketball court and despite the fact that he was sweating and felt heat emerging from his body, he still felt cold. The gaze that he got was making him feel very cold. Claire left immediately.
"Who was that? " Chloe asked once he hung up.
"Roy. "
'Why was he asking you those questions?"
"I don't know. "
"I really like Roy; can you put in a good word for me to him?"
"He is seeing someone right now. "
"I came in too late, didn't I?
"You will get someone you like one day. "
They talked about some stuffs. There was a knock and then the person came inside. Once Hunter saw her, he felt disgusted. To make things worse, it started raining. He was now stuck with his ex.
"I didn't know that I would find you here. "
"Neither did I. "
