Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: TEMPLATE !

♤ revised v.1♤

Arch stood in the center of the rotting Kominka, rubbing his stomach as the heavenly taste of the spicy burger lingered on his tongue. But as his hunger faded, the reality of his situation began to sink in.

"I need to know what I'm working with," Arch muttered. "Hey, System. Do I have a status bar? Give me some stats. Strength, Agility, Luck—tell me I'm at least lucky."

CREEAAAAKKKK.

The interface flickered into existence, glowing with a soft, eerie light.

[ USER INFO ] Name: Arch D. Newgate Age: 5 Whitebeard Template: 1% / 100%

Arch stared at the screen, blinking. "That's it? No health bar? No mana? And what kind of name is 'Daily Life Necessities System' anyway?"

[ SYSTEM: IT IS A SYSTEM FOR NECESSITIES, HOST. ]

"Touché," Arch sighed. "But look at this template. One percent? How am I supposed to survive on this island with one percent of a legend? Do I have to act like him? Do I need to be... the 'Pops' of this place?"

He looked around the empty, dilapidated room. No one was watching. He cleared his throat, stood as tall as his small frame allowed, and chest out, he let out a roar.

"GU-RA-RA-RA-RA-RA-RA-RAH!"

The laugh echoed off the wooden walls, ending in a violent coughing fit. "Ack! Cough... hah... how was that? Pretty accurate, right?"

CREEAAAAKKKK.

The screen updated instantly.

[ USER INFO ] Whitebeard Template: 6% / 100%

"Six percent just for a laugh?" Arch's eyes widened. "Wait... did I actually sound like him for a second?"

A surge of confidence rushed through him. If he had the template of the strongest man in the world, surely he could use the power. He clenched his small fist, imagining the air shattering like glass beneath his knuckles. He visualized the shockwaves that could level mountains.

"Eat this! HAKUA!"

He punched the air with all his might.

Nothing. No cracks in the atmosphere. No tremors. Just the sound of a five-year-old swinging at a fly.

"Practice makes... well, it makes you look like an idiot," Arch grumbled. He went to swing again, but his eyes caught his own reflection in a puddle of blood on the floor. He froze.

"What... the hell?"

He looked at his hands—tiny, soft, and stained red. He looked at his legs. He wasn't just short; he was a child. The 'Age: 5' on the screen hadn't been a typo.

"I'm a kid. I'm literally a brat." His memories felt like they were underwater—fragmented, fuzzy images of a "Gramps" and a Minecraft-like portal. "System, can you restore my memories? I feel like I'm missing the most important parts of my own life."

CREEAAAAKKKK.

[ NEGATIVE. ]

"Of course," Arch groaned, dragging a hand through his matted, bloody hair. "Fine. New priority. I'm currently on an unknown island, in a house made of rotting wood, and I am literally painted in my own blood from head to toe. It's sticky, it's itchy, and I smell like a butcher shop. I need to find a bathroom."

The moment the word "Bathroom" left his lips, something impossible happened.

A tiny, glowing circle sparked in the center of his left palm. Before he could even gasp, the circle erupted outward, expanding into a massive, shimmering, transparent dome. It swept through the room, passing through the wooden walls and the floor until it formed a perfect spherical territory three meters wide.

Arch froze, his hand still outstretched, his heart stopping in his chest. He knew this light. He knew the absolute authority this dome represented.

"This isn't the Whitebeard template," he whispered, his voice trembling with a mix of terror and awe. "This is... ROOM."

In the center of the dilapidated Japanese house, the five-year-old boy stood as the master of his own private dimension, the air humming with the silent potential to deconstruct the world itself.
