My face turned red for the second time this night. I mouthed the words, "I will explain everything later!" to him across the room. Allen let out an annoyed, low breath, narrowing his eyes further, but slowly looked away.
After a few quiet minutes, the fair boy in white returned to the banquet hall, now dressed in a brand new, immaculate light blue silk robe that looked equally stunning on him. He walked up to the table and gracefully took his seat beside me once more.
"I must apologize to you once again for my clumsiness earlier," I murmured softly to him, offering a warm smile.
The boy chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Please, my Lord, let us speak no more of it. I am Ennui."
The moment the name left his lips, a sudden wave of recognition hit me. Ennui... yes, that was the name written on the engagement invitation we had received.
My eyes lit up. "Ennui! So you're the bride."
