Yubashi and Ren walk out the city as the great gate shuts behind them, emitting a powerful wind that blows through the land.
"So uh about that energy you sensed?"Ren said as she scans the area.
Yubashi closes his eyes as he takes a deep breath, to sense the cold, dark energy again but a sudden zap ran through his body, causing him to fall to his knees grunting.
"Yubashi!"Ren gasped as she leaned closer to him.She tries taking out her wooden staff but realizes that she doesn't have it.Regret hits her as she realizes that she forgot at Lumien city.
Yubashi lets out a deep breath as he barely gets up."N-north, the energy is getting stronger,"He says above a weak murmur as he walked ahead.
Ren reached her hand out to him but stopped midway, sighing as she returns her hand and followed him quietly.
Meanwhile at Lumien city....
"Kuri are you sure that he is gonna be fine?"Yubashi's mother asked in full gold armor included with a bascinet, sighing calmly.
"You worry too much,he has that healer doesn't he?He is even an advanced summoner so he should be ok,"the other gate guard grins as he puts a hand over her shoulder to comfort her.
"I guess your right,"she calmly agrees,adjusting her spear.They notice an old woman in a large black hood covering her whole body,her face barely visible approaching them.
They all divert their attention to the mysterious old woman."Is there anything we could do for you mam?"Kuri asked the woman as he tightens his left hand on his spear.
"Sorry for disturbing your duties gatekeepers but I have some stuff to deal with outside the city if you don't mind,"her voice husky.
They both take quick glances at each other,contemplating whether to let the old woman outside,then retuned to the old geezer.
"Sorry mam but we can't someone in your.... condition venture out into the wild without an ally.I hope you understand us,"Kuri's voice calm,assuring as he addressed the woman in the black hood.
"Oh do you think an old woman like me can't protect herself from the outside world.I have lived through these distant lands before the.....incident longer than you lads, so I assure you that I can handle myself.
"We understand but our duty is to insure that no one ventures outside without any company.You do know what happened during the event that took place,right?Yubashi's mother responds as she looks up the sky,eyes tightening under the gold bascinet she wore.
"Oh...that's....too..bad,the old woman slowly says in a disappointed tone as her body emitted a purple aura,but before she could do anything a dark skinned elf, with red hair, in black and white attire approaching them,their conversation catching her attention.
"I can accompany her,for a reasonable fee of course,"her voice stern,straight to the point,under the black mask she wore.
"Of course kind young lady,I don't mind the fee as my attention is towards the task outside,"the woman accepts as she let out a weak satisfied laugh.
"And what's your role miss?"Kuri asks the elf sternly.
The elf gives him a cold stare as her voice became more serious."A-rank assassin from the advanced water guild sir.
The gatekeepers look at each other then sigh,nodding their heads as they cross their spears together causing the great gate to slowly open.

Yubashi lets out a weak breath as they walk past the dark green trees along their path.
Ren notices his breathing as she walked beside him.She knew something was up with him and she knew it had something to do with their encounter with the red scaled dragon.She couldn't bare the condition he was in and wanted to comfort him.
"Are you ok Yubashi?"she finally releases a concerned murmur as she glanced at him.
"Iam ok dont worry,"he let out a quick reply but Ren knew he was not ok and wouldn't give up easily.
"A-are you sure your ok?You don't look like you are,"he replied with a calm,assuring tone as she reached for her shoulder as they continued walking.
"Iam sure Ren,"he barely manages to talk back with a muffled sigh.He could still feel the electric sensation through his body.Ren refused to simply accept everything he said.
"You know you can tell me what's wrong Yubashi.We have known each other for so...
"I SAID IAM FINE!"Yubashi lets out an enraged
reply,which shook her uncomfortably as she removes her hand from her shoulder,eyes widening
Yubashi took a sharp glance at her expression then immediately softened as he gets shit by guilt.Getting mad at Ren was the last thing he wanted to do.
He sighs to calm himself as he puts his hand on top of Ren's head."Iam sorry for that Ren,"he quietly apologizes as his hand runs through her hair,calming her.
"The truth is...,before he could start, a sudden chatter is heard from ahead,catching their attention.Yubashi could feel the dark energy becoming stronger as the noise of chatter increases.
Two figured in black adventurer robes approach them from afar,the other carrying a caged,dark slime.The unknown figures notice them as they approached nearer,stopping a few metres from them.
Yubashi sighs in disappointment as she notices where the energy came from.Ren grabbed his shirt tightly as she leaned behind him.
"I don't know why but something feels off about these guys,Ren whispers to Yubashi as her hands tremble against him.
