The red needle cut through it's enemies beautifully well, the only thing that limited it's progress was it's wielder. Leo had managed to litter the ground in dead bodies and bath the grassland in blood but he had also suffered several deep bite wounds.
He hissed in pain as one of the death critters snuck up from behind and hit him on his ankle, the swung his rapier and severed it's head cleanly by the neck. Black blood gushed out of it and Leo's face grew more dim, the wound to his ankle had been softened by his boot but it still left his footwork considerably weakened.
He jumped back trying to put as much distance as he could between him and the horde of dormant beast, to his surprise he felt his leg did into one of the holes dug by the death critters and tripped.
"Curses, why are these things everywhere?" He barely managed to climb out of the hole as another death critter lunged at his face, this one aiming to eat his eyeballs.
Leo had no idea how many of them he had killed but he was beginning to lose his form, it turned out that his stamina was greatly lacking in this fight. After all he had never once thought he would be foolish to fight more than one opponent at a time.
In that moment he remembered something.
"Wait a minute, stamina." He said to himself as he tried to will the sphere into existence greatly limiting his focus on the battle and suffering many serious injuries within that time frame. "Please let this be worth it."

Sparks flew off from the red needle as one of the death critters who aimed to bite his head off bit into its pristine steel, Leo gritted his teeth as he swung his blade and split it's head open.

This was it, right?
He racked his head trying to think of how this would apply to him in his current dilemma and regretted the decision. Splitting his focus between the mystic text displayed by the sphere and focusing on his battle put him at a disadvantage where he came close to death every second.
He knew he had to think fast and smart.
Back then he had put one of the points he had gotten into strength but nothing had worked, he wondered why that was so.
He had thought nothing of it since then until recently now that his life was on the line.
'Which one?' He asked himself.
He still doubted if it would work but trying would and failing would be much better than doing nothing.

Do you wish to add the 1 lunar point to this stat?
"Yes." He said with a voice mixed between desperation and hope.
In the next second Leo felt extreme pain emanating through his body, he could feel his joints on the verge of popping off. The fatigue of the battle was eating into him much faster than before causing him to groan.
At first he wanted to curse the sphere again but he then noticed something, the reason why his body hurt so much was not because the fatigue had grown. It was more so because his body was moving better than it used to.
After adding the stat Leo felt his reflexes become more sharper and precise, it was a very small difference he only noticed since his body was already performing at max efficiency.
Since his body fought a bit better now he was getting more tired and wanted this battle to end, there were still some of the death critters to deal with and he was not sure how much longer he could hold out for.
His eyes shot to the string of mystic texts hovering right next to him.

He wondered what the obvious choice would be, the first thing that did come to his mind was his strength but would power really be a deciding factor here?
'Common, think you fool!' He screamed at himself as he felt his arms about to fall off as he barely managed to avoid the last attack of the death critters.

Before he could think of adding any of his points to his other stats he dispelled the sphere's information and focused on the battle at hand. The numbers of cuts he had sustained in the time he had been distracted by it had grown exponentially.
A part of him wanted to regret not putting any point into his strength but he silenced it.
'What are you feeling sorry about you fool? Do you think you are going to do bad because of one measly point? Remember you have always fought with all you've got, point or no point.'
He kicked back into the fight with a change in gears, his reflexes were only slightly better than they used to be but that did not mean he was at better odds or had suddenly become a better fighter. If anything it posed a bit of a challenge to him, Leo now had to adapt for both his new wave of fatigue and slightly better reflexes.
It did not prove to be any problem to him, he moved forward and cut through the remaining dormant beasts with a more accurate precision. In his mind he remembered hot it had been seeing Cassandra pull of a similar stunt only that hers was the original and he was merely the copycat.
His form looked nothing like hers but as long as he delivered the results he wanted that was fine. After several horrendous seconds of cutting through the horde of dormant beasts the sounds stopped.
His ears which had been filled with the sound of loud squeaks and the cutting of flesh suddenly went silent, his eyes widened almost like his eyes could not believe what he had just done.
Littered all around him were the bodies of dormant beast cut open with beautiful precision. He could not believe that he had done it, of course he was nowhere near the level of a powerhouse but he could be.
Red Needle slipped out of his hand and struck the blood soaked ground, Leo's eyes started to flicker with a hint of something menacing. His nose twitched at the smell of blood coming in from all sides and his stomach growled.
The thirst at the back of his throat was back but this time not for the tasteless liquid but the sweet metallic taste of life. He felt his fangs begin to grow from his mouth, protruding and widening till a soft growl escaped from them.
'What the hell?" Leo thought as he desperately tried to fight the instinct growing within him but his eyes never left the pool of blood before him.
The cold menacing voice that responded within him spoke, "You feel it, the hunger? You can not be the beast and suppress it's nature."
Leo wanted to silence his voice but could not.
"Don't fight it, give in to the beast." The voice was beginning to sound awfully persuasive to him. "You know you want it."
Leo's heart started to beat slower and slower as his breathing grew louder, he dropped down the side of his lips and stared at all the flesh and blood around him with hungry eyes.
He bent down slowly and leaned closer to the remains of a death critter than had been split open diagonally, the smell was all it took before he started feasting on it like a wild animal.
