Zuran followed Ren's movement and noticed that he was heading toward the construction site to take a look.
He couldn't let him go. He couldn't let him see that again. He didn't know what Ren would do, and he didn't want to give him the opportunity to do something—again.
So Zuran instantly stepped right in front of him. "That doesn't look like a safe place to be..."
Ren stared up at him. "Huh?"
"I mean... we should get going. It'll be evening soon. It's not safe walking around late with the kids... so let's get going."
Ren hesitated and glanced at the scene again. "I just want to go take a look, though..."
"Let's just get going. I doubt there's much to see there," Zuran insisted.
Ren studied his face. He could strangely see the anxiousness written all over it. He could tell Zuran was trying to stop him, but he didn't know why.
Ren didn't understand Zuran at all ever since they stepped into this city. He was suspicious of his behavior, but he didn't wish to make it so obvious.
