Ren was still confused and worried. "What's wrong? What happened? What... are you talking about?"
But Zuran had already pulled himself together. He wore a calm expression as he stared at Ren. "I'm fine. So don't worry about me... I was just being dramatic... so..." He glanced at the gate. "Let's get going already."
Ren didn't buy it. At least, he didn't want to. Zuran had just had a mini breakdown right in front of him, so he had a feeling something was wrong. But he couldn't understand what.
"I don't want to go there!" Su'er protested, stealing Ren's attention. "Let's go somewhere better!"
"Yes!" Luria chimed in support.
Ren knew the kids wouldn't willingly go in there, so he had to cook up a story.
"There's a lost treasure in there. So if we're able to find it first, we'd be rich enough to get anything we want!" He smiled at the cubs.
"Anything?" Ce'ran blinked, the thought of endless food flooding through her mind.
Ren nodded. "Yes. Anything."
