The silence was loud. They could hear the sound of the air swirling through the atmosphere, the tree leaves dancing from one side to another, the birds singing through their agony.
They blinked as the silence grew louder.
"What the hell...." Ren blinked. "Where the fuck is this supposed to be?"
"Where is this place?" Su'er asked. "This doesn't look like an expensive place to be at all. All the poor people seem to live here."
"There doesn't seem to be any food here..." Ce'ran blinked. Her stomach groaned.
Ren sighed. He didn't seem to understand what was happening. And just as he turned back to see where the driver had gone, he didn't see the carriage anymore.
It was as if it had disappeared into thin air. They all stared for a moment.
"And where did it go?" A'ri asked. "It was just here a while ago..."
Ren gasped as he pulled out his fan and scanned the area with his eyes. "What's happening..."
