Chapter 6 - New Company!

Immediately after hearing the announcement of the spell, Seven found himself blind.

'The fuck..?'

No, he wasn't actually blind! He was just surrounded by darkness.

Which was not very reassuring either!

Seven looked around, trying to get a single glimpse at his surroundings. But it was futile, even the sky did not posses a moon or any stars.

'Where am I...?'

The House of Talents taught them about everything in the dream realm, and even the political stuff going on in the waking world.

They were trained to endure and know everything.

So, it was surprising when he couldn't discern where he was at. He crouched down and touched the ground with his hands.

'Wet soil..'

As he crawled, he eventually reached the edge of the platform he was on. He heard the waves of water crashing onto the place he was on top of.

'This isn't the storm sea.'

Suddenly, his eyes narrowed when he sensed several things deep inside the water source he was looking at.

Somehow, he was able to sense the souls of beings faintly. And the souls he was examining now were very powerful and vile.

'Awakened, fallen, corrupted... Yeah I am cooked.'

The ability to sense the souls faintly was most likely a passive ability the lineage of the Heart God gave him. He could also sense many sorts of emotions ranging from rage and killing intent. But these sensations were very faint, not enough to overload his.

He could also decide to just turn it off!

Seven slowly backed off from the water, not wanting to gaze into the depths of the sea more. He decided that he would need to wait for a while to see if anything changed in this realm. Seven was most likely summoned into a death zone.

Sitting on the ground, he entered his soul sea. Looking at the souls that populated his sea of soul.

'Weirdos.'

He summoned his runes.

Memories: [Sharp Moon], [A Skinner's Veil].

Memory: [A Skinner's Veil].

Memory Rank: Awakened.

Memory Type: Armor.

Memory Description: [A foolish decision that lead to a great abominations demise.]

The description prompted a rise of an eyebrow from Seven. This memory must be the sixth tier, yet it has such a short description. Perhaps the spell was trying to warn him to stay away from making foolish decisions?

Seven summoned the memory, but to his surprise, it was not formed from yellow sparks but golden flames.

The outfit is built like a dark monument around the body—tall, angular, and severe. A long hooded cloak of charcoal black drapes from the shoulders, its fabric heavy and fluid, torn into jagged, wind-caught edges that trail behind like smoke. Beneath it, a fitted coat and tunic in muted black and deep steel-gray cling close to the frame, giving the silhouette a lean, predatory sharpness.

Across the torso and right side of the body, pale gold armor grows like sculpted bone. The chest piece curves inward and outward in sharp, organic lines, as if it were forged to mimic ribs and flowing muscle rather than simple plates. This gilded armor continues down the right arm into a jagged gauntlet, each segment layered with thorn-like ridges that catch the light. In contrast, the left arm remains dark and sleek, wrapped in shadowy fabric, its glove long and claw-like at the fingers.

The legs are encased in matching gold greaves and pointed boots, their edges crisp and slightly flared, giving a sense of both elegance and lethal intent. Between armor and cloth, narrow seams of dark fabric remain visible, keeping the overall look agile rather than bulky.

A streak of deep violet glows faintly beneath the hood, lining the collar and peeking out at the neck, adding a cold, arcane accent to the otherwise monochrome palette.

A visor like mask formed on his face, just like the golden pieces, it shared the same design. Even though it had no holes to peek from, Seven could see perfectly. Along with the hood, his head and hair was covered.

'This... this doesn't match my aesthetic at all! I am not an assassin!'

Although, it was cool, he couldn't deny.

Seven discarded the armor, and then summoned his runes once again.

Aspect Ability Description: [You are able to create incarnations, each one carrying a reflection of your mind. Control them as you like, or let them be.]

[Path of Excitement], [Path of Eternal Life], [Path of Revenge], [???], [???], [???], [???].

Seven first focused on the path of excitement, but that just opened his own runes once again, so he discarded it. The Path of Excitement was most likely he himself, it was quiet appalling to think that he was now considered an incarnation too.

He focused on [Path of Eternal Life.]

Incarnation: [Eternal Life.]

Incarnation Description: [A desire to live forever. Enjoying every second of life, and never succumbing to death.]

True Name: [The Sun that sets above the mountains.]

Rank: Tied to Continuance.

Soul Core: Dormant.

Soul Fragments: [0/1000]

Attributes: -

The incarnation had a true name, that was very surprising, but what baffled him even more was the next set of runes.

Aspect: [Unlock?]

'This..!'

What kind of fortune was this? Was this the true might of a Divine ranked aspect?

"Unlock."

[The Sun that sets above the mountains has awakened their aspect.]

[Aspect: Why should I die?]

[Awakening Aspect ability...]

[Aspect Ability acquired.]

[Aspect Ability Name: Crystallization.]

Seven immediately summoned the incarnations runes.

Aspect: [Why should I die?]

Aspect rank: -

Aspect abilities: [Crystallization]

[Crystallization] Ability Description: "Create and manipulate crystals to your will."

'A great aspect, I believe it can be very versatile. Could be used for both defense and offence.'

Seven was very excited, so he summoned the runes of the next incarnation, [Path of Revenge.]

However he was disappointed when he read the runes.

Incarnation: [Reaver.]

Incarnation Description: [A desire to seek revenge against the ones who did them wrong. A belief that without those, one's life would feel at peace.]

True Name: -

Rank: Tied to Continuance.

Soul Core: Dormant.

Soul Fragments: [0/1000]

Attributes: -

Aspect: [Locked.]

It seemed that this incarnation is yet to unlock their aspect, and they did not even have a true name. This prompted Seven to think.

How did Eternal Life gain a true name and an aspect, but Reaver didn't? Perhaps it was due to the fact that Eternal Life has already achieved his goals, but Reaver hasn't.

That was the most plausible answer. It seemed that Reaver was not getting any true names or aspects until Seven managed to get them out of this hell.

Which was easier said than done.

Closing the runes, he finally looked in front of him. At last, willing his two incarnations into his soul sea.

Immediately two figures that looked identical to him were summoned to his soul sea. One rose to life from red flames, while the other rose from the darkness.

Even if they looked like twins, it was very easy to differentiate them.

The one that rose from the red flames let out a laugh. "Finally, I was waiting for you to summon me. It was very boring to simply study you in silence!"

'That... is most likely Eternal Life.'

Both of them turned to look at the third, who just stared forward with a blank expression.

'I think, I already know who I am going to give the armor to..'
