~ Kova's POV ~
"WHAT IN THE FUCK'DYA MEAN YOU MESSED UP BESSIE?!?!"
I slammed my hands on the steel table, as I stared down my idiot of a brother wondering where the hell the other one was.
"DID'YA EVEN CHECK THE WEATHER FOR LAST NIGHT?!"
I could swear Banu thought I was actually gonna kill him before I glanced across the shop to get a good look at myself in the mirror, my normally golden colored eyes glowing red.
"Shhiitt.."
Taking a deep breath and rubbing the sweat off the back of my neck and the edges of my hairline I grabbed the keys for the spare truck waving back for Banu to follow.
"Sorry Banu I'm extra on edge today gotta be something I ate or something in the air.. Everything just feels so much more intense than it should."
Banu quickly caught up to me resting a hand on my shoulder and I knew he understood, both of them giving a small nod before hopping in and heading to the logging site.
"Sedric says the wood's still good, storm was lighter out there than in town bu-... HOLY COW THEY KILLED A BEAR?!"
Banu's expression was priceless as he read off the text from their youngest brother, somehow trouble always seemed to find Sedric but thank seas he always made it out unscathed.
We drove a ways before driving onto the site seeing the mess left behind from the bear, and after pulling on my jacket and opening my door my senses were flooded with the delicious taste of chai and honey leaving me gripping the door handle for balance.
"Ey Kova are you alright? You look like you're about to pass out."
Sedric stated bluntly as he started lightly jogging over but before he could get too close I held a hand up, my youngest brother knowing better than anyone that I'd spotted something as he halted in his tracks.
I closed the remaining distance kneeling down as I gently swabbed his fingers through the snow in front of me. Looking at the snow melt it was obvious the bear was chasing something wounded but smart enough to hide itself as little crimson droplets formed where the snow had melted on my fingertips.
Standing I followed the brushing pattern leading to the wood that had been felled and left behind the day before, and while cautiously rounding the corner I frantically held my breath as I raised my hand back to stop my brothers who I had failed to notice had followed in my tracks just as curious.
There stood a malnourished and matted looking white wolf with eyes as bright and blue as the sky, matching my gaze with a fierce and hurt look plastered on his face as his ears twitched in every direction.
"Everything okay over there??!"
