Kelvin walks alone.
People whisper.
Phones point toward him.
WOMAN #1
(low voice)
That's him.
MAN #1
The one who plays girls with his songs.
Kelvin stops.
Confused.
KELVIN ADEYEMI
(soft)
What did I do this time?
INT. MUSIC STUDIO – DAY
(INT. – Interior, inside a place)
Kelvin enters.
The room goes quiet.
Producer Jay Stone avoids eye contact.
KELVIN ADEYEMI
Jay… what's going on?
JAY STONE
(sighs – deep breath showing worry)
There's a rumor.
KELVIN ADEYEMI
Rumor?
(simple meaning: unconfirmed story)
JAY STONE
They're saying you lead women on, use music to manipulate them, then disappear.
Kelvin laughs bitterly.
KELVIN ADEYEMI
So now love is a crime?
EXT. CAFÉ – DAY
Mira sits with her friend NORA.
Phones buzz around them.
NORA
You've seen this online?
Mira scrolls.
Headline reads:
"LOCAL SINGER BREAKS HEARTS WITH MELODIES"
Mira's hands shake.
MIRA OKAFOR
(tears forming)
They don't know him.
NORA
The world never asks.
It just decides.
INT. FRIENDS' HANGOUT – AFTERNOON (COMEDY)
Dan Kay reads his phone loudly.
DAN KAY
According to social media, Kelvin is now a "Certified Emotional Criminal."
Oscar Bello laughs.
OSCAR BELLO
Next award: "Best Breaker of Hearts – Male Category."
Kelvin forces a smile.
KELVIN ADEYEMI
Funny how people enjoy stories they never survived.
INT. MIRA'S HOUSE – EVENING
Kelvin and Mira sit.
Silence.
Heavy silence.
(Meaning: emotionally uncomfortable quiet)

Did you know this would happen?
Kelvin looks up.
Hurt.
KELVIN ADEYEMI
I knew love has consequences.
I didn't know lies would come with it.
Mira exhales.

I want to stand with you.
But I'm scared.
KELVIN ADEYEMI
Fear doesn't mean lack of love.
It means something matters.
She nods slowly.
EXT. OPEN MIC STAGE – NIGHT
Kelvin stands before a crowd.
Mixed reactions.
Some clap.
Some boo.
HOST
Next performer… Kelvin Adeyemi.
Kelvin steps forward.
Guitar in hand.
🎵 SONG – "LET THEM TALK" 🎵
Let them talk while I breathe
Let them lie while I stand
Truth doesn't shout for attention
It waits in the hands of time
Crowd quiets.
INT. ELLA'S APARTMENT – NIGHT
Ella scrolls through comments.
Satisfied.
ELLA DANIELS
(smiling)
Pressure reveals truth.
She types anonymously.
EXT. OPEN MIC STAGE – LATER
Mira watches from afar.
Tears fall.
MIRA OKAFOR
(whisper)
I believe you.
Kelvin finishes singing.
Looks into the crowd.
Their eyes meet.
KELVIN (V.O.)
(V.O. – Voice Over, inner thoughts)
"A proverb says:
When the drumbeat changes, the dancer must adjust."
FADE OUT
(Fade Out – scene slowly ends)
