The grand Lionhardt mansion hummed with activity.
Lucien sat at the massive oak desk, buried in reports of the Peverell wealth, tallying shares, vaults, and alliances. His tails swished behind him, one occasionally brushing against a stack of ledgers.
Meanwhile, the rest of the household—Bayonetta, Gamma, Yasaka, Claire, Venelana, Grayfia, Velgrynd, Akeno, Sylpha, Angelina, and Nagini—sat by the fire, chatting quietly.
Angelina's Question
Angelina, still wide-eyed from the Diagon Alley adventures and Lucien's astonishing wealth, finally asked the question she had been holding back:
"Um… Bayonetta?" she started nervously. "If you… I mean, you said you're Lucien's… lover… what happens if he… dies?"
The room went quiet. Even Nagini's ears twitched.
Bayonetta smiled softly, her silver eyes calm yet powerful:
"He will not die. His lifespan… I can extend it indefinitely. I can even increase the lifespan of anyone he loves—his family, his friends, his companions. No one he holds dear will fall to time or fate as long as I can protect them."
The room lit up.
Gamma, Yasaka, Claire, Venelana, Grayfia, Velgrynd, Akeno, Sylpha, Angelina, and Nagini all exchanged glances.
Claire whispered with a grin, "Looks like our fellow sister-wife is very kind."
Venelana laughed softly, squeezing Claire's hand.
Angelina nodded in awe. "Wow… she's amazing."
Nagini curled slightly closer to Bayonetta, purring softly in contentment.
Bayonetta chuckled, brushing Nagini's head. "It is my duty… and my pleasure, to care for my Master and his family."
The Deathly Hallows Question
Angelina's curiosity wasn't finished.
"And… um… about the Deathly Hallows that you gave to the Peverell brothers… will Lucien get any of them?" she asked carefully.
Bayonetta's expression became more thoughtful.
"Of the three… only the Cloak is truly powerful. If your Master desires, I can craft him an artifact of comparable strength."
Venelana and Claire exchanged a glance and said in unison, shaking their heads:
"No. He wouldn't want it, even if you asked."
The other girls tilted their heads, confused.
Bayonetta smiled knowingly. "I understand. Your Master's bloodline, combined with the Eye of God that he possesses… is already stronger than any artifact I could provide."
Nagini purred in agreement.
Angelina's eyes widened, her brow furrowing in confusion.
"…Wait, the Eye of God?" she asked.
Venelana leaned forward, speaking gently:
"The Eye of God is a power Lucien shared with those closest to him. It enhances their abilities beyond normal magical limits… essentially making them capable of feats even ancient wizards could envy."
Angelina blinked, then tilted her head slightly in envy. "Wait… you all got it… and I didn't?"
Yasaka placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Lucien may give it to you… and to Bayonetta… in the future. It's his choice, but he trusts you both."
Bayonetta smiled warmly at Angelina. Nagini nodded softly.
Angelina's face relaxed, a small smile forming. "Oh… okay. I'll be patient, then."
The fire crackled, the room cozy.
And for the first time in weeks, the Lionhardt mansion felt like a true family home, with laughter, warmth, and bonds stronger than blood.
