The night passed without further incident.
Alex did not move from his chosen spot between the two rocky ridges. After crushing the sabertoothed lion, he had remained seated, back straight, senses extended but restrained. The Prime Sanctuary was too dangerous for careless exploration. Every time he had teleported blindly, he had nearly landed in the jaws of something capable of erasing him.
Above him, the three moons slowly shifted across the sky. Purple light faded first. Green dimmed into pale silver. The crimson moon lingered the longest before retreating beyond the horizon.
The system evolution would finish in two hours. Until then, making plans was pointless. He would have to adapt to whatever changes came.
He reviewed everything calmly.
