Alex was sitting inside the cave, leaning against the rough stone wall, staring at nothing.
This Prime Sanctuary situation was completely out of his control now.
To get out of here, he would have to build a stronghold. A real base. A place that could survive constant monster attacks.
But how the hell was he supposed to do that when a nine headed galactic hydra was casually roaming the mountain range like it owned the place?
Build a stronghold?
Was he supposed to play hide and seek with that thing?
His jaw tightened.
This place was insane.
Frustration boiled inside him, but there was nothing he could do right now. His brain was tired from calculating survival odds that kept ending in death.
At some point, he closed his eyes.
Sleep took him.
He did not know how long he had been out when a heavy sound dragged him back to consciousness.
Thud.
Thud.
The ground vibrated slightly.
Alex's eyes snapped open.
