Chapter 9 – Neraxis Arrival
The battlefield was silent except for the hum of Yarau's aura. Every pulse of its purple veins radiated menace. Yura's fists flared instinctively with red Vital Force, heart hammering. He knew—this was something far beyond his current power.
{Somewhere Around the City}
A man stood cloaked in shadows, black mirror-like veins twisting across his face and body. His obsidian nails caught faint glimmers of light.
Beside him, a woman with a dark purple aura bowed low.
"Lord Neraxis," she said, voice steady.
"Soon, we will provide you with more Hex Fruits. Stay tuned."
Neraxis's vessel pulsed with black mirror veins. His eyes glinted with malice as he smiled.
"A powerful presence… Yarau. The Judgement of the Umbra still exists."
He laughed—a sound that cut through the city like shattered glass. Maniacal, unstoppable. Every echo carried dread.
Without hesitation, he moved toward the energy he sensed. Buildings trembled as his presence approached.
The devil had awakened.
{Back to Yura}
Kurogami lashed out, slamming the ground. The shockwave tore the air apart, blowing Yura several meters back.
ZZNGH!
Yarau's eyes flared red for a brief moment.
BOOM!
The Judgement of the Umbra slammed down a vital-infused punch. Kurogami screamed, writhing in pain, its form disintegrating into dust.
Yura's head bled, vision spinning. Rage boiled within him.
"Enough… is enough. I'm going to kill you!"
From above, a shadow fell.
THUD!
Nearby buildings shook violently and collapsed. Debris rained down.
BOOM! BOOM!
A maniacal laugh echoed across the ruined streets.
Yura murmured, voice tight with fear:
"What… what's going on?"
Thoughts raced through his mind:
I can't match their power. I need to get Noctyre and run… that's the perfect time.
