Chapter 32 - Ashveil Edge

Axir didn't choose the God Faction yet. He wanted to wait for this Abyss to connect first.

So without wasting any more time, he went into the exit portal and appeared back on the mountain.

The secret area's entrance had vanished. It was gone forever.

But he wasn't done with this place yet.

There was one more place here that he needed to visit and acquire something important.

It was in a valley three kilometers from here, next to this mountain.

Axir used Airbending Boots and kicked off into the air as he shot like a rocket toward his destination and soon landed in the valley.

There was a level 50 Elite Field Boss here.

And Axir soon arrived there.

A giant folded bud. Ten meters tall and four meters wide.

He was 50 meters away from it, so it was in a slumbering form. But one meter ahead, and it would wake.

To fight this boss successfully, he needed a card. A 1-star card that would make this fight utterly easy.

Smell Converter!

Axir set a random good floral smell here and toggled on the card.

'Perfect.'

A weapon appeared in his hand—Ashveil Edge, the second Blade-category weapon aside from Cinder Verdict Katana.

A deadly longsword with a glistening black blade with a silver-flame edge and a wooden handle with silver patterns.

[Ashveil Edge]

Attack: 100 + (100% Agility + Arcane)

Cost: 1 Mana per successful hit.

—> Upon hit, inflict 5 stacks of Ashen Spark, dealing 10% of Arcane damage per second per stack that ignores defense and resistance. Infinite duration, infinite stacks.

—> The stacks can be detonated, dealing 500% Arcane stat damage + 10% per stack.

This weapon required high attack speed and mastery to wield it to inflict as many stacks as possible quickly to bring out its full potential.

[You have awakened the Elite Field Boss — Level 50 Despairing Pororo Flower]

The giant bud swiftly bloomed into a flower with large petals and four long vines, two of which whipped at Axir right off the bat.

Axir vanished and appeared behind it using Librated Drift, swinging Ashveil Edge swiftly.

The flower spewed out a bunch of pollen while the vines came at Axir again.

Axir dodged, but in those two seconds, he got in nine hits, inflicting 45 stacks already!

10% Arcane stat (10) x 45 = 450 damage per second!

The boss had 10,000 Vitality total.

The pollen that fell on the ground sprouted flowers that released fragrance.

But not a beneficial fragrance.

Swoosh!

Axir appeared next to it again, not worried about the smell because it was ineffective on him.

If he didn't have Smell Converter, he would still have defeated the boss, but not this easily, because the smell of flowers gave three terrible debuffs—Dizziness, Attack Speed Decrease, and Movement Speed Decrease.

But with Smell Converter, he was completely immune to it.

Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash!

Axir dodged and continued slashing it.

135 stacks! 1,350 damage per second.

It had high regeneration, but it was of no use against this much damage per second.

Its Vitality was already at 32%.

Without further ado, Axir detonated all the stacks!

BOOM!

Silver flames burst out all over the flower from the slash marks inflicted by Axir and blasted loudly.

[Congratulations. You have successfully defeated the Level 50 Elite Field Boss — Despairing Pororo Flower.]

He also reached level 42.

'Will it drop a card?' Axir blinked.

The smoke cleared and a Tier-5 treasure chest appeared.

But there was no card anywhere.

In the area where the flower had sprouted, a countdown flickered in the air.

[23 hours and 59 minutes until the field boss respawns.]

Axir walked toward the treasure chest and opened it.

[You have acquired the following rewards that have been stored in your Inventory.]

Axir blinked and looked at the list.

—> Despair Bloom Flower - Tier-5 | Legendary

—> Nature's Despair Necklace - Tier-5 | Epic

—> Box of Nature's Gift (Random five Tier-5 resources.)

'Awesome.' Axir grinned.

He was worried he would get Nature's Protector Ring, which was Tier-5 | Legendary equipment, since he had 11 Luck stat.

But what he needed was Nature's Despair Necklace.

It was one rank lower, but its effect was useful at another Secret Area he knew. The main reward of that secret area was a single seed.

Seed of the Wisdom Tree. He wanted the seed and plant it at the secret Himalaya Valley where Siddha and the gang lived and grow it there.

'Teleport me to the Suryax Capital.'

Axir vanished.

The permanent storage function was a system feature, but it would only activate if he was in the Suryax Kingdom's capital because permanent storage was tied to the kingdom.

People could activate permanent storage at different kingdoms or territories, and all storages were synced, so all items inside were accessible at any territory.

After storing the resources and equipment he wasn't going to use in permanent storage and changing his equipment, Axir accessed teleport again and arrived at the area west of the Suryax Kingdom he had already visited.

There were four Elite Dungeons around this kingdom, and he was going to discover them to get 10 stat points from each.

It took him sixteen minutes to discover all of them and acquire 40 stat points, which he put into Constitution and Perception, making both reach 60.

Afterward, he returned to the Suryax Plaza again and accessed the teleport function.

'There. This is a new kingdom that replaced one of the old ones.' Axir looked at the kingdom that Siddha, James, and others had selected as their entry point in the World of Belkris.

It was a territory Axir had zero information about, since 50% of the World of Belkris was different from his past life.

But he was looking forward to it. Exploring something new was always fun to him.

'Teleport.'

[You have arrived in the Seraphel Kingdom.]

From the style of structures and outfits of people to the very vibe in the air, everything was different from the Suryax Kingdom.

Players were roaming around, talking, appearing, and disappearing.

Around 4 billion people currently logged in shared 100 kingdoms, so the population was abundant in every kingdom.

Fortunately, the World of Belkris was massive. Just in terms of size, it was eleven times bigger than Earth.

[Axir: Aunt Kira, I am here at the kingdom. Where are you all?]

Axir sent the message and then activated permanent storage here by spending 100 gold coins for 100 slots of storage.

[Kira: We are currently in a dungeon. I'll get back to you once we clear this, but you can come to Crystalnox Ridgeline. We are in that area.]

[Axir: Alright. I'll level up while waiting.]

Axir opened the map before activating both his Rocket Wings and Airbending Boots.

He wanted to reach level 50 fast, and there was a level 70–100 area next to the Crystalnox Ridgeline, a perfect place to level for him with more than a 20-level difference for bonus experience.

[World Announcement! Congratulations to Player Axir for being the first to reach Level 50. +100 Gold.]

"This ain't stopping."

"What the fuck is going on?"

"Two hours since most of us logged in, including him, and he hit half a century already."

"Damn, I wonder where he is farming? And how strong he is exactly? We can't see his Power Level from the profile."

Meanwhile, the person in question landed on the ridgeline, feeling sore.

Cracking his neck, he lay on the ground, heart racing and body aching all over. "I may have overdone it."

He went into a total frenzy in the past 18 minutes and killed exactly 84 monsters between level 70 and 100 to reach level 50.

Tired, he planned to wait for Aunt Kira and the others to finish the dungeon.

But not even half a minute later, he got a message.

[Kira: I sent you our pinged location on the map. We are there.]

[Axir: Coming.]
