Racine woke up to the smell of disinfectant its chemicals causing him to sneeze, sitting up Racine was surprised to see himself in a hospital room, his eyes landed on the small cabinet by the corner, 'I can't hide in there'
His eyes then turned towards the sliding window, 'Good it wasn't barred' Then his eyes landed towards the door.
He tried to sat up only feel something on his body and he realized he was now wearing a hospital gown, some complicated stuff was attached to his body connected to the Heartbeat monitor that he didn't realize that was there.
Racine traced the wires on that damn monitor and when he found the socket it was connected to he used his left hand to unplug it before removing the complicated wires that was attached to him.
Racine looked at his right hand feeling a slight sting from it but nothing was there just a phantom. Racine placed his feet on the ground the cold floor was uncomfortable but he found no slippers to wear.
He climb down cautious not to make a sound and slowly make his way into the door which was surprisingly unlocked, Racine opened it making a tiny crack he could peer into and have a small look around what was happening outside.
And what he founds lay outside the room was a busy hospital hallways a familiar scene that always occur before the world went into a complete mess or maybe it had always been a mess the problems just more visible to the eye.
Racine opened the door, the damn thing making this creepy sound as it swung open and for a moment Racine thought that the people would all snap their heads towards him but instead they didn't. They just mind their own business like usual.
Racine took a step to the hallway, then another and then the next.
Racine then scanned the hallway and spotted an elevator which he tried to approach figuring that it might be better to escape the building first before thinking things.
However his plan was foiled when he felt a sharp pain on his chest like he was stabbed there, He want to curl over because of the pain but before he does so a nurse approach him, "Sir Racine" She called him, "I'm so sorry there was trouble on the other floor that's why I was delayed on giving you your medicine"
'Sounds like Medical Malpractice to me' Racine want to comment but the nurse ushered him towards the room, He sat him down back on his bed the mattress shifting under his weight.
The Nurse handed Racine a glass of water with a pouch of colorful capsules which Racine drank in front of her, Of course he didn't drink the capsules tucking it with his thumb and pretend to swallow it down with water.
"Now-" Racine smashed the glass of water on the Nurse's head, Then he make a ran for it to the door, his chest still hurt but the adrenaline kicked in like a painkiller.
Racine planned to ran towards the Elevator however he noticed that his room was much more closer to the stair thus he ran towards there.
Three steps down the stairs and Racine can't breathe properly he felt so...suffocated finding no strength on the steps he decided to just lay flat on the stairs and slide down instead.
More painful with the steps bruising his body but he doesn't mind, soon reached 11th floor? Racine was just too tired to even think he just take a small nap for a bit.
