It was all white spotless even, Pristine, Fresh, New, and Empty.
The smell of disinfectants and air conditioner, The slow drip of an Iv bag, Squeak of shoes on the white tiles, Rattle of medicines placed in pouches along with vials and syringes as they are being wheeled off.
Beep...Beep..Beep.
The sound of the periodic beep of a heart monitor caused a young man with black cat like eyes, brunette hair and pale complexion stirred on his sleep.
Then his body jolt awake in confusion, "Fuck" Racine muttered, "Please don't tell me I got Kidnapped again?!" He mumbled out in confusion his eyes scanning the room around him.
He then look down and found himself now wearing a hospital gown not just that in his right hand attached was an Iv that was almost empty.
Racine watched the Iv drip from the needle and flew into the tube attached to his right hand, Racine want to pull it out just like in the movies but he figured just to keep the Iv attach instead.
Slowly Racine put his feet down to the white tiles its coldness lingering on his feet as he begun to stood up, Racine grab the Iv stand like a cane and also a weapon that might come in handy.
Beep.. Beep.. Beep..
Racine don't know where the heartbeat monitor sounds was coming from, one thing is sure its not connected to his body, Racine scanned around the room, Its not spacious nor small its just an average room. There were furniture, a small cabinet and chairs, Racine wouldn't even be able to fit in that cabinet.
Racine looked at the windows and was a bit relief when he found them unbarred instead its a big sliding window the view of a lush forest that can be seen from it was nice, Racine walked towards the door and it wasn't locked.
Racine opened it and peered cautiously of what might be behind it. A horde of monsters? Another one of those crazy people? Anything really. But to his surprise it was instead an average hospital before the whole world went on crack.
People walked around, Doctors, Patients, Nurses and Whatnot minding their own business and for a moment Racine stood there in silence, 'For something called Torment it was pretty much a bit normal?'
'After making so much abominations made out of flies and maggots this feels weird' Racine decided to finally step out of the room and when he does he was expecting all the people's heads to just snap at him all at once but instead they mind their own business like usual.
A strange sensation blossomed on Racine's chest, 'Was this Loneliness? Emptiness? Worry?' Racine dragged the Iv beside him as he moved along the hospital floor, he spotted an elevator so he decided to go towards it.
He don't know where he was going but it be better to at least exit the building first afraid that this people would be similar to those who came from the fog from before.
The white tiles are really cold under his feet, Racine would have prefer to have at least a sock but beggars can't be choosers so ignoring the cold, he moved his body towards the elevator and as he moved closer and closer towards it something feel off.
His own legs strangely moved off, its like it had a few seconds of lag before it followed his commands it was so strange, 'It's like my body was not keeping up with my mind'
His eyesight too seems a bit odd, Like multiple plastic film was plastered on top of his vision, the more he walk, the more he feels his body grow heavy, sounds muffling and when Racine finally reach in front of the elevator it opened.
Revealing a faceless person wearing a nurse attire, No She wasn't faceless instead it's just Racine's eyesight was having troubles seeing properly.
"Mister Racine" The Nurse called to him like one would speak to a child, "How many times do i have to told you not to wander around the hallways?"
"What?" Racine spoke and his iris shook at the way his voice sounded its much more rougher and older.
Racine looked at the hand that was holding the IV stand and he was surprised to see that instead of the hands he was familiar with, a bony hand with creases and prominent veins revealed itself.
Racine had become and old man.
"For Goodness sake, If I ever survive till the tenth stage I would have body dysmorphia or something" Racine whispered to himself.
"Now, Now" The Nurse begun to usher Racine back to his room with a gentle and kind voice but Racine ain't falling for that.
Gripping the IV stand with all the strength he could muster, Racine bashed the nurse in her back and shoved her away to the floor and as she trembled in pain Racine pulled on her shoes, ran into the elevator pressed the [Close] Button and then all the floor Buttons.
When the Elevator Closed Racine hissed to see his now bleeding right hand the IV cord had been detached when he bashed the nursed with the stand. He grab a handful of his blood looked up at the Elevator and splashed his blood on the camera.
Looking at the numbers on the elevator Racine figured out that he was currently on the 13th Floor. He felt the elevator going down as he wore the shoes he stole from the Nurse and slowly the elevator door opened on the 12th floor with a nice ding.
Racine stepped out, his eyes scanning to the cameras and make sure to avoid them, his eyes scanned for the fire alarm which he slammed and turned on.
'Damn this feels just like in the movies' Racine thought to himself, water sprinklers burst open and people around begun to panic and ran around.
Racine dragging his old body, Looked around to find the Fire exit which he did managed to find easily with people already flocking on it.
He followed the crowd or at least tried to however his legs gave in, He tried to stand up but like it had been disconnected his wrinkled legs didn't move.
Racine slammed his hand down on his knees, two slams and he was catching his breath like he ran a marathon, 'Well shit'
