A whole week has passed as the Everlight party finally had passed through a 'one hell of a ride' week.
"Hopefully this should be enough to elevate you to B rank,"
Theun waves goodbye to the Everlight party and the others shouted at them.
"Come see us if you got the time!"
"We'll be glad to have you guys as our guests!"
Cyrus and Rene wished goodbye at them while Sherman just adjust his glasses. The Everlight party waves goodbye as a carriage was waiting for them. The Everlight party had told their main purpose to the Azure Vanguard and made them promise not to tell anyone or it would cause a chaos and crisis among the kingdom. Before the sun rises, the Azure Vanguard requested for a carriage before sun rises and now they are waiting for the Everlight party to enter it.
Raye stepped on the side step as he grabs onto the golden handle of the red carriage. On the side of the door was printed the crest where a lion with two swords behind it, representing the courage of the Rolken tribe and the Kingdom of Ferria. Raye enters the carriage before Al, Amethia, Will and lastly Auoun. Auoun was big for his size that the horse of the carriage finds it hard to move. Inside the carriage was filled with red sofa and cushions. Amethia, Raye and Will sat together while Al and Auoun sat at the opposite of them.
"I can feel myself so much stronger!"
Raye touches his muscles of his left arm as Auoun did the same too with his right arm.
"Me too, it feels like...I'm tougher than before..more indestructible,"
Amethia watches the outside view as she smiles. Bird chirping and the people walking. Folks holding suitcase and well suited. There were many Rolken tribe walking around wearing suits and dresses. It was a bustling street as they passed by the market place they had visited a few days ago.
"Well, I have an upgrade with my spells,"
Amethia said in an arrogant voice, snorting as Will looks at his side of the window.
"Alright, let's go through everything again, we will try to gain alliance with the Kingdom of Ferria, although we may not have the strength of the dwarves, we could have the strength, courage and loyalty of the Kingdom of Ferria,"
"Judging on how easily moved is the king of Ferria by him giving the Azure Vanguard a house to stay for five months, he wouldn't be that hard to be negotiate with,"
Al added on as he squirm to the right, trying to get some space from Auoun. For the whole ride, they chatted about their improvement and the Azure Vanguard, Will watches them all from the side as he just smiled. The scene inside the carriage was lively, a cheerful type, a comforting type, something that Will did not experienced before during the demon king era. Will Beuratt, who has live over 1300 years. During those years, thirty years of those were living as a human and the rest were in the demon king continent. Will had fun with his past colleagues that were magic researchers like him and the Dark Sages in the demon king continent too but this gave a different sense of calmness, comfort, the feeling of being wanted, though he does not care anyway. Living through three different lifestyles and time, maybe this would be the best of them all, maybe I could redeem myself and become humane again....Will thought to himself as the carriage stops. They have arrived at the royal palace.
The palace is painted white and the crest of the kingdom was hung around the castle through large flags. Around the palace was water and a bridge that also serves as a gate into the palace. During war time, this palace that once used to be a castle stood during those battle and serves as a battle location. Ultimately, the kingdom won and resulted into the Kingdom of Ferria.
The Everlight party was instantly led to meet the king. Inside the palace, their crests were hung on the wall as a long red carpet rolled on the ground, leading up the marble stairs to the throne room. The knight that escort them was also a Rolken tribe, having blue hair, a nose of a lion and ears of a sheep. He knocks on the door and said loudly.
"The visitors have come to visit your majesty,"
"Let them in,"
The response was quick. After receiving confirmation, two knights that were standing at each sides of the door pushes the marble door and letting the Everlight party to enter. they were met with a large throne room and red with purple stripes at each ends of the carpet stretches out to the throne. There were huge glasses behind the throne where brilliant colours of the glass window. The sun casted the image of the large window on the ground, making them glisten and gleam in radiant colours. Each images represent their history. The one on the left where it shows a Rolken king founding this land by a sheep overpowering a wolf, kicking it into the river as the stream washes that wolf away along the path. The one on the right shows a castle which is now turned into this palace fighting against threat from different kingdoms. It is about the war where they fought against neighbouring kingdoms and won their lands. The one on the middle is the Rolken king being crowned with his sword pointed down. The images were casted onto the ground, creating a beautiful scenery. The Everlight party knelt before the king.
"So, I have heard all about you, the party that took down a warlock of calamity in the kingdom of Sahhara, helped with the incident in the 'Dead City' in our kingdom and aided the incident a few days ago, I express my greatest gratitude to you,"
The king climbed down from his throne and placed his right hand on his chest and lower his head.
"Please raise it your majesty! We are just doing what needs to be done, your majesty don't have to thank us,"
Raye stood up and pleaded to the king which he did so. The king sure is kind. But a kind king doesn't means a good king. Will thought to himself as the king continues to speak.
"I deeply respect your humility, now then, what is it that you came here for?"
The king did not return to the throne, instead, he stood on the same level as them, none was higher nor lower against each other. Raye quickly knelt back down and requested making an alliance.
"I have came here on behalf of the king of Hiden, seeking alliance with your kingdom as your majesty had heard about the threats threatened by the SUN Cult few years ago,"
"Alliance? Against the SUN Cult? Young one, let me ask you first, are you capable of taking the cult?"
Something similar to that question was asked by the king of Arron before.
"We have took down a warlock of calamity, we may not be able to take the whole cult down, but having to losses of their warlocks, we might be able to slow them down and take them down as soon as we got the chance,"
Raye answered earnestly. The king looked at Raye and hesitated.
"...Such high pride you have,"
Raye clicked his tongue though no one heard it. Damn it! Did we fail once again?
"But, I like that courage of yours, and that is all about us Rolken folks, how about this, if you manage to take down another warlocks of calamity, then I would consider joining alliance with the kingdom of Hiden,"
Raye lit up as soon as he heard that.
"Thank you your majesty! How can I repay your kindness?"
Raye pleaded once more but the king who finally returned back to his throne and shrugs it off.
"Don't worry about it, it's only a matter if you manage to fulfil by request,"
With that, the Everlight party manage to get the Kingdom of Ferria approval on hold.
"That sure was stressful!"
Al exclaimed as they returned to the carriage.
"We manage to get their approval on hold, but defeating a warlock is no easy work, last time we got lucky,"
Raye sighed as the horses started moving through the city. After three months of travelling to the royal city then the royal palace, it is finally time for them to move on and to the next kingdom.
