Al took out one of his cigarette and got light immediately by the glaring sun in the dune. Al sighed and smoke. They have been walking for the past few hour, the dune is really nothing but a large sand pile.
"Gosh, hope we find some beast, its so boring walking,"
Raye whined. It's been hours since that overpriced bread they had this morning. They need something to fill that stomach in order to continue their journey. Raye then took out his cook book and flipped through pages.
Raye:"There is a beast in this area that is edible,"
Will:"Well then, lets go,"
Al:"Looks like we got no choice..."
Raye:"There is this area where giant scorpions lived, they usually live underground but there would go up to the surface to catch their prey. Usually one would come out, only after a while the others would too for their size is too big,"
Al:"Giant scorpions...."
Al look scared when heard giant scorpions.
Al:"Are you sure they are edible? Don't they have huge amount of poison?"
Raye:"They do, but its only their fang, their flesh is edible,"
Al:"Are there any other beast in that area that's edible too?"
Raye:"Yea, but this is the closer from our direction right now,"
Al:"Damn it..."
Raye:"Sorry Al, you just gotta bear it,"
Al:"I know,"
Will:"Lets go then,"
There was also nothing much to see around the area they walk. Just a few cacti and other plants. They have finally reached to the scorpion territory. it seems that none have appeared from the territory yet.
Al:"So... How we draw it out?"
Raye:"They catch their prey when they unknowingly walk into their territory, we need something to draw it out,"
Will:"I will try using one of my shadow to draw it out,"
A shadow emerged from the ground ands walk into the scorpion territory, but nothing happened.
Raye:"It seems that the scorpions don't sense the shadow, it probably don't think it as a prey,"
Al:"Looks like we need a human..."
Will and Raye look at Al.
Al:"What?"

"Can you explain why I am the one being the prey!"
Al yelled as he walk toward the scorpions territory.
Raye:"Will and I are hero and mage, it won't be easy for use to strike in that angle, you can be the prey and draw it out, surely you are able to protect yourself!"
"Damn you all..."
Al muttered to himself as he entered the scorpions territory. He walked deeper into it, getting ready for something to happen, but nothing happens.
Al:"Hey Raye! I reckon that you got the place wrong?"
As Al finished his sentence, two huge fangs rose from the ground and Al is at the middle of it.
Al manages to escaped before it's able to close its fang.
Raye then jumped down and slash one of the scorpions fang, breaking it in half.
The scorpions then fully emerged from the ground and Al was petrified, too scared to move. Raye then grabbed Al and ran toward the exit of the territory. The scorpions chased after him but Will cast a shadow underneath the scorpions and devour it, disappearing from the territory. The motion makes more scorpions emerged from the ground.
Raye:"Crap, we gotta get out of this one,"
Raye ran, dodging the scorpions poison that somewhat can be spray from its fangs. Suddenly, two large fang emerged between Raye, blocking the front. It that quickly shut its fangs.
"Protection spell!"
Al protected both of them, holding of the fangs from killing them.
Al:"Quick, I don't think I can hold it much longer,"
Two shadows emerged from both sides of the fangs and grab it and break it in half. Raye then dropped Al to the ground and get ready his sword.
Raye:"Hey, I could really use a buff spell right now,"
Al:"Give me some time, I'm trying to get up,.... Buff spell!"
Raye got buffed and he uses another:
"THUNDER SHOCK!"
The thunder shock then conduct from one scorpions to the other few. Though this wasn't enough to kill all of them.
Raye:"Crap, Al, we gotta run,"
Al:"You don't need to tell me,"
They then run toward the exit of the territory. Will then cast a large shadow from the ground, trapping all the scorpions inside it, then to devour all of them. Al and Raye managed to escape the scorpions territory. They then reunite with Will far away from the scorpions territory.
Raye:" *panting* We...did it,"
Al:" *panting* I'm never doing that again!"
Will:"Its time to eat,"
Will then pull out a scorpion out of the shadow realm with his shadow. The scorpions seem to be not moving.
Al:"So... where do we start?"

Shadow then appeared from the ground and smashed the shell of the scorpion. Raye then uses EXCALIBUR to cut off the fangs of the scorpion. Al just sit besides taking another smoke while watching the others to the work. The scorpion is so big that it took half an hour just to break its shell. Will then use the shadow-like tentacles to remove the shells piece by piece, making sure there is no shell left on it. Now there is left is the exoskeleton and the meat. Even after removing the fangs and the shell, the flesh of the scorpions is still big. There is no need to worry about bones since scorpions are invertebrate. Will then remove the exoskeleton with his shadow by ripping it apart. A huge lump of meat just right there, they don't know where to start.
"Lets eat the meat of the pincer,"
Raye look through his cookbook as he told the party.
"EXCALIBUR!"
Raye slash one of the arm off the scorpion. Will then kept the scorpion back into the shadow realm. Just a part of the scorpion is still big without the whole body.
Raye:"Alright... first we cut off the pincer meat, and then we season it with salt and spices stated in the book,"
Al:"Do we have spices enough for a whole large meat?"
Raye:"We just eat a small part and leave the rest for tonight,"
Will then set up a fire to cook the pincer meat of the scorpion. Their cooking process took around 1 hour.
They finally eat their lunch after a long morning.
Al:"This isn't exactly delicious,"
Will:"Taste kinda bland..."
Raye:"Probably we don't have the right spices to use for this,"
Al:"When we're going to eat regular food again…"
Raye:"Hang in there, Al, Hang in there…"
