After a week, Will and Raye finally arrived at the Kingdom of Arron, where the best priest that any party could ever wanted.Will and Raye considered of inviting a priest for their party since if they are badly injured no one is going to heal them. Will may be a dark sage but he can't use his shadow magic publicly so injury with a crowd might be a problem.
"Alright, lets look for a inn and then we look for a priest"
Raye said it proudly like they finally accomplished something.
Will:"I don't see any reason for needing a priest, I can protect you from harm,a powerful mage like me is enough for the two of us"
Raye:"No no this isn't about you being a powerful mage problem, you don't have to do everything yourself, you have a team, I also want to fight, and having a priest to heal us up, besides, wouldn't it be weird for a party with only two members?"
Will:"..."
'A team' doesn't matter to someone from the demon king side, despite being among the dark sages, they usually work alone and don't fight together.The only time they did so is during the battle with the legendary hero party that is against the demon king and the dark sages.So for Will who haven't experience being a human since he pursue black magic for few centuries during the Demon King era wouldn't easily understand how a team work.
They both went to search for an inn nearby the city and rest.The next day, they decided to head to the capital of Arron to reach to the king of Arron.
Raye:"Priest should have already graduate from their academy and they might be looking for job at the capital, I say we look one for now."
Will:"Shouldn't we make the deal that Hiden king want with the king of this kingdom?"
Raye:"We could do that later, I bet many party right now should also came here to scout for a priest."
They both went inside a guild inside the capital of Arron began asking priest around to join their party.Unfortunately for them, all of the priest inside the guild have already found their party.
"We are too late....."
Raye whine as they have lunch at a tavern.Their menu are quite interesting. All of the food on the menu have medical herb.Will order a chicken with herb that aid him with sleep easy since he suffered from the concussion on the beach at the Demon King territory two month ago while Raye pick the same thing but the herbs is help boost energy since Raye always train and do quest. They then overheard a grumpy priest arguing with someone who he is having lunch with.
"Fine then, I quit if you got many complain about me"
"Mr Al..."
Raye:"Say, why don't we go invite that priest to join our party, he seems to be a teacher and have the knowledge of healing magic for quite the long time judging by his goatee beard, probably in his mid thirty."
Will:"You are so desperate for a priest huh,but do you really want a grumpy man to join our team, I don't really want to have a due who complain all the time and disturb my peace."
Raye:" I don't think he's that bad, lets try stalking him and see is he should be the one joining our party"
Will:" You make it sound like he want to join our party instead"
They both paid for their meal and when over to stalk him using the shadow magic since is already dusk and lesser people was in the capital. They followed him inside the bar and saw him drinking alone. Then they both decided to approach him one by one.
Raye:"Say sir, do you need a party to travel? Well don't worry my party are in need of a priest and we will cover your fee-"
Al:" Leave me alone"
Raye:"Sorry I didn't catch that"
Al:"I say leave me ALONE!"
Raye back down looking into his eye that was staring him. He then retreated and ask Will to try.
Will then walk in the bar and sit at the priest table.He then ordered a glass of beer and talk to Al.
Will:"Crowded ain't it? Having a rough day?"
Al:"You and that guy are a team right, didn't I told him to leave me alone"
Will remain unfazed, instead he decided to remain and talk to him.
Will:" Looks like you got it right, sorry about him, he's desperate for a priest in our party but couldn't get one. You look like you could use a talk"
Al hesitate first but seeing the man in front of him is almost the same age as him he thought Will could understand his feeling.
Al:"I just quit my teaching job. The principal complain about my smoking and drinking habit which bring bad example toward the students. Not only that, he also complain about my teaching skill and many more about me. Damn this pressure me a lot just to change for showing good example toward the students.Who does he think am I? The Perfect Mage from Hiden Kingdom?"
Will:" I understand that feeling of yours, after all I also fall into the same situation you are in right now once."
It is true.Will did suffer the same fate of what Al is suffering now.
Will:"during my 20's, I couldn't cast a perfect simple magic and face many criticism from my friends and teacher, but I end up casting it perfectly and shove it up on their face"
Will smile as he said that, thinking about the revenge he had at them for mocking him.
Al:" You're quite the interesting one aren't you?"
They then clink their glass of beer together and cheer. After that, they went out o the bar. Al try to lit up his cigarette but his lighter won't work.Will then lit up that cigarette for him.
" Did it work?"
Raye ask Will as they return to their room at the inn.
Will:"He is considering about it, probably would come to us about it tomorrow,"
Raye:" Well then, tomorrow we will enter the palace of the Arron Kingdom and do the deal requested by the Hiden king Alvort"
"Alvort is the Hiden king name"Will thought to himself since he always address him as 'Hiden King'
The next day, they set out and went to the palace of Arron Kingdom.
