Everyone stepped back and hide behind me and the man, because they already knew that outside would be the same situation.
The man and I were speechless, we both started sweating and just move one step back--
But suddenly everyone pushed me ahead and I came in front of the monster and fell on the ground.
The man was speechless, "...What...did you all do to that kid? Why?!"
And the monster heard the scream of the man, he threw the doctor far away and she ended up colliding to the wall and lost her consciousness, but out of danger now.
The monster came in front, smelling and realising that I am the nearest. My whole body trembled, I was having no courage to take away my eyes from the floor, I can't look at the monster.
Suddenly a few doctors and nurses ran, took the fainted doctor immediately and went back to their position.
The man was speechless, "You...all gave him on bet...to protect her?"
"He is of no use anyways. We are important!" The nurses shouted, "Humanity will end if there will be no one to cure your pain!"
The man was completely shocked, "Humanity... why...you all are showing inhuman in that word? Is this what you all call humanity?"
The doctors and nurses ignored the man and just said, "If you want to live, then save us...he won't help you anyways."
I was having no courage to even try to look at the monster, I couldn't decide how am I going to survive. There was no chance.
The monster caught my neck, squeezing it tightly and he raised my face. I finally saw the monster, smiling creepily and I was suffocating, ready to die...I guess.
The monster smiled creepily once again, but I gathered some courage and raised my one hand...and hold the neck of the monster back and tried to make him suffocate as well. But nothing happened, he just opened his mouth and started taking my head to his mouth.
The man couldn't see it, he just turned away and with grinding his teeth with anger, he finally decided, "Come three at once... let's go to the station...and protect those to whom we can."
The man ran back to his bike and the doctors and nurses started moving back with a smile...like they were satisfied by someone's death or if someone is going to die.
The hospital became empty in just thirty seconds and everyone had left. My head was almost in front of the monster's lips... And I finally smiled.
I raised my second hand immediately holding the knife and I took my all the strength I had and swiped the knife...and the monster's head was cut apart from his body and I fell on the ground and started coughing loudly.
Once I saw the monster's face, I got a way to survive. I hold the monster's neck from one hand to hold and cut it smoothly and the second hand to hold and use the knife once again, the only thing I needed was the perfect time, the moment when I will be closest to the monster to cover it's whole neck when it will come to cut it.
It was suffocating and I kept on coughing. By that time, everyone had disappeared from the hospital and from the entrance, and there was just me, who survived once again.
In ten minutes, all the doctors and nurses were taken to the station and The Red Rider was happy that the man could still stand and try to help others as well.
It was the last round of the bike and the man finally jumped out, but this time he wasn't feeling motion sick, he was just looking down with a disappointment.
The Red Rider couldn't understand him and nor he could see me, he stepped to the man, looked at the bike once again and asked, "Where's the kid?"
The man was speechless, and a doctor made fake tears and explained, "...He sacreficed himself...to save the fainted one from being eaten by the monster...but his sacrefice wasn't a waste."
And The Red Rider was stunned with widened eyes.
"...What?"
The night was on the sky, everywhere was just darkness and I had finally stopped coughing. I looked at the knife and it suddenly broke and shattered into pieces.
But I didn't want to use it anymore anyways, I just stood and looked at the hospital room.
"There should be washroom or somewhere to drink water." And for now, my first priority was water and I finally stood, once again, and started walking in search of the water.
The night was long, and it was around 8 p.m. now and I drank enough water, not caring whether it's for drinking or not and my thirst, and suffocation was relieved.
But suddenly all the lights of the hospital turned off, and darkness covered everything. Darkness was testing my calmness and I just remain calm, knowing that monsters can't see but have great other senses, they can hear and smell perfectly so it was better to keep on walking in search of a place of light and not make any noise.
Ok, this was useful. Not the announcement, but the System, it was giving a little bit of light around so I could see it. At least it was of some use.
But suddenly I started seeing some light coming from far a little bit far. I looked outside the window and there were city lights shining, and Players were fighting with zombies and monsters till now?
It was the same road where the Players were surrounded by the monsters and zombies and they were still fighting.
And one of the Player was Aya, who was still fighting, although exhausted.
"We will manage to escape, Aya." Said Aya's companions and the fight continued.
