Jasmine had just seen the half-elves off when she heard a familiar voice. Looking up, she indeed saw Xavier striding inside. With a heavy "Thud," he slammed the massive oak chest he was carrying onto the table, causing the thick, sturdy wooden long table to shudder a few times. Just hearing that heavy sound was enough for Jasmine to know how heavy this chest was, yet Xavier's movement of carrying it in with one hand just now was incredibly light, making people think it was empty inside.
Jasmine looked at the sky outside and smiled, saying: "You came back quite early today. Have the tasks in White City been completed?"
"Yes, I have bought all the slaves in White City. Marcus is taking them on the ship, and I came back a step ahead," Xavier said very calmly, but Jasmine could still see the smugness waiting to be praised from his subtle expressions. Even though Xavier was currently in his adult form, some of his cub-stage personality traits could still be seen.
