Solomon had been thinking a lot lately.
His mind traveled back to when he was but a child. He specifically recalled a day when, during his studies, he asked his father if he loved him.
He would never forget the look and response he received before his father walked away.
'You are fed, aren't you?'
Solomon's father wasn't a bad man. He had certainly come to know worse ones. However, his father was not expressive. Even after all these years, Solomon still didn't know how much his father cared about him. It wasn't as if he was the kind of man to just say how he felt.
He believed that to be a normal thing. He had never seen a father act any differently. Especially not once he began living with Raizel.
It took until he had his own child for his entire worldview to get completely turned on its head.
Solomon loved his son. And they were inseparable from the moment of his birth.
This change in perspective was not the only one to come to Solomon in recent days.
