Soraya's POV
Opening my eyes, the first thing that hit them were the blinding lights from a fancy chandelier hung above my head.
I winced, moving my head to the side, to avoid the penetrating rays, my skin digging into soft fabric.
Wait. Fabric?
I jerked, sitting up and looking around in panic.
My eyes went wide as I noticed where I was.
Gone were the dark night and dirt that I had come to know these past few weeks, and in place were tiled floors that belonged to a room.
I was in a room.
A freaking huge room.
I twisted, wanting to climb out, when I froze again.
Beneath me, was a soft mattress dropped with fine silk too expensive for my skin to touch.
I nervously pulled them away, tucking the material carefully and smoothing out invisible creases.
Climbing down, my feet met with a smooth rug, and I couldn't help but dig my toes deeper into it.
When was the last time I felt something like this?
It's been ages.
Carefully, I scanned the room, not daring to touch anything.
Elegant chairs and matching curtains filled every inch of the spacious room.
Filled with awe, I momentarily forgot my fear and where I was, just basking in the elegance that screamed from the walls of these walls alone.
Everything was beautiful beyond doubt, but that was until my eyes landed on the door, colour draining from my face.
A sudden dark realisation creeping in as memories flooded my mind at once.
What have I done?
I anxiously wrapped my arms around my body.
How can I let those killers touch me? Worst of all, I liked it.
A faint feeling of embarrassment reared its head as I remembered passing out from being fingered by Draven.
Moon goddess.
It was only two fingers, and I had shamelessly cummed, begging them for release.
How can I be this stupid?
I should have just released those pheromones, driven them crazy and used that chance to escape.
My wolf sneered at that thought, but I ignored her.
Of course they could easily catch me, but at least I would have tried.
Now what was going to happen to me?
Isn't it the same as how Jamal locked me up?
The only difference in this was that the prison was fancy.
As if to confirm my thoughts, the doors opened, and I stepped back, clenching my fists in fear.
One of the triplets walked in, his face stone cold, bringing with him a commanding aura that didn't match his ethereal features.
I instantly recognized him as the quiet triplet, causing my fear to deepen.
"You are awake." He said, but it felt more like an observatory statement.
He walked towards one of the chairs in the room, sitting with practiced grace. "My name is Keal Grey. The eldest among the Grey brothers. What's your name?"
Eldest?
I was shocked.
I had thought Lucen was older with the way he carried himself. Who would have known?
Kael raised a brow, waiting for me to answer.
"S– Soraya."
"Well Soraya, I can tell you are scared, but you don't need to be." He began, his sharp grey eyes resting on me. "I can assure you, we won't hurt you since you are our mate. You can feel it can't you?"
I bit my lip, not denying it.
The pull I felt towards him the moment he stepped into the room was real.
Even my wolf was stirring quietly in my mind.
"However," Kael paused before he continued. "We demand your utmost respect. We are fated by a strong force that prevents us from harming you, but your compliance will determine the kind of harm to be inflicted."
I picked at my nails, listening to him speak.
His words just hit the nail on all my worries.
Despite being mates, they didn't see me as anything. Maybe I was a tool to them.
Suddenly, the doors opened again, a wave of stimulus hitting me in the face and sending my wolf into a frenzy.
~ Mates!!
My wolf howled, as the two brothers, Lucen and Draven walked in, their combined presence weighing on me.
They walked into the room, stopping beside Keal, their identical grey eyes, scanning my body clean.
Feeling those intense eyes made my body lick with passion, a strange tug on the bond between us.
My wolf stirred restless, but I chose not to let the same thing that happened in the forest repeat itself.
I feigned composure, my body barely settled as I shook.
"Have you told her yet?" Lucen asked, plopping right next to Keal.
He placed a hand lazily under his chin to support his head, his deep stare never leaving.
"No."
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Draven drawled, preferring to stand. "It's better to tell her now before she thinks she's one special being who can control us."
He folded his arms, his eyes flickering to me then his brother Kael.
Kael sighed— an action that drew my attention back to him. "Listen Soraya. The reason you became our mate is because of a prophecy that was tied to our souls. The Grey family being blessed by the moon goddess needed someone who can help retain their sanity, so she gave us people like you to guide us."
I blinked, slow on the information that had been dumped to me.
Prophecy wolf? Me?
It sounded absurd. Perhaps the moon goddess had been mistaken.
My confusion ran deep, and surely it irked one of them.
"Let me break down what my brother was trying to say." Draven growled, the sound low and rumbling.
I took a step back, fear clouding over the euphoric feeling of my mate being close.
"It means you are only with us to serve your purpose: sex." He said, painfully slow. "Nothing more, nothing less."
I whimpered, feeling the cut.
"You will be under our protection." Kael added. "If people found out we now have you, they might kill you."
"Don't blame us. It's for your own good." Lucen said from the side, rising to his feet. "Maybe if you weren't so weak, something different might have happened."
But I was not.
Again, I felt like this cage was too fancy for me.
