"Do you know him?"
Neither Shawn nor Zade had wasted a single second following the trolley. Laying on top was indeed none other than Rai, unconscious, pale as chalk, and covered in dark, fresh red.
As they rushed up, the officers accompanying the gurney stepped in front of them to block their path.
They stopped the two, but upon seeing Zade and Shawn's frantic expressions though both dressed in their medical scrubs and white coats, faces drained completely pale as they stared at the patient surrounded by rushing trauma nurses, one of the officers caught on immediately.
"Yeah. We live together." Zade mumbled, his usual sharp composure cracking for the first time as he reached out to steady Shawn, next to him, doing not so great.
"What happened to him?!"
Shawn was trembling beside him, staring at Rai's motionless body in absolute horror. Honestly, as medical personnel, both of them had seen far worse trauma cases.
