Hearing this, Bulma quickly forced a smile.
"No, no! I just meant that if you were coming too, Gohan should've told me earlier!"
"Hmph!"
Piccolo snorted coldly.
"Enough talk. Show us the gravity chamber."
Bulma's expression darkened slightly.
If it weren't for Goku's sake, she wouldn't have helped build this thing at all. Still, when the Saiyans arrived on Earth, someone had to protect the planet—and that someone was clearly Gohan.
"Fine. Follow me."
The three nodded, and Bulma led them away.
Moments later, they arrived in front of a house.
The interior was spacious, complete with a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and several bedrooms.
"Bulma," Krillin asked, puzzled, "is this a gravity chamber… or a house?"
"Of course it's a gravity chamber! But don't you need to eat and sleep while training?"
"That… makes sense."
"So I converted a house into one," Bulma said proudly. "The gravity chamber itself is just up ahead!"
"Oh!"
She led them deeper inside.
The gravity chamber was massive—only slightly smaller than the building itself. The floor was covered in red synthetic tiles, and in the very center stood a large machine.
This was the 100x gravity chamber control unit.
"Gohan, this is the control panel," Bulma explained. "The left button increases gravity by one level, the right button decreases it, and the middle one resets everything."
"Got it, Aunt Bulma!"
Bulma nodded.
"So, Gohan, are you training here or taking it somewhere else?"
"Somewhere else?"
"Yes. The entire gravity chamber can be stored in a Capsule Corp capsule. Very convenient."
Hearing this, Gohan glanced at Piccolo.
"Uncle Piccolo, what do you think?"
"Do whatever you want."
"Then I'll stay here at Aunt Bulma's house."
Piccolo glanced at Bulma but said nothing.
"Uncle Piccolo, Uncle Krillin, do you want to train here too?"
"Together?"
Krillin hesitated, then shook his head.
"I'll train with Tien and the others."
No matter how hard they trained, they couldn't catch up to Gohan anyway.
"What about you, Uncle Piccolo?"
"I'll stay for now."
"Then I'm heading back to the Lookout," Krillin said.
"Take care, Uncle Krillin!"
Krillin nodded and left.
Bulma stretched.
"Well, I'm leaving too. I'm not training."
Gohan nodded.
Once the others were gone, Gohan adjusted the gravity to ten times.
"So… heavy!"
Piccolo was already wearing weighted clothing, and the sudden pressure made his body sink.
He looked at Gohan.
Gohan's expression was completely normal.
"Uncle Piccolo, are you okay?"
"I'm… fine!"
"Then I'll start training."
Gohan dropped to the floor and began doing one-finger push-ups.
"One… two… three…"
"Ding! Congratulations, Master. One push-up completed. Battle Power +10."
Piccolo gritted his teeth and joined in.
The morning passed quickly.
By noon, Gohan had completed ten thousand one-finger push-ups and ten thousand sit-ups.
His Battle Power increased by over two hundred thousand, not counting the additional boost from his Saiyan bloodline.
The gains were modest only because the training felt too easy.
"Grrr…"
Gohan's stomach growled.
Just then, Bulma's voice came from outside.
"Gohan! Piccolo! Lunch is ready!"
Gohan stopped immediately.
"Uncle Piccolo, time to eat!"
"I don't need food. You go."
Gohan nodded.
"If you're thirsty, there's water in the kitchen!"
"Go eat."
Gohan left the chamber.
The moment Gohan was gone, Piccolo raised the gravity to twenty times.
He knew Gohan had deliberately kept it at ten this morning.
"So… heavy!"
Twenty times gravity crushed down on him, making even breathing difficult.
But thinking of Gohan, Piccolo endured it silently.
Capsule Corporation — Backyard
Gohan sat at the dining table with Dr. Brief and Mrs. Brief.
"Bulma," Mrs. Brief said warmly, "is this Goku's son?"
"Yes, Mom!"
"He looks just like Goku did when he was little!"
Dr. Brief nodded. "Indeed."
"Eat up, Gohan," Mrs. Brief said happily. "Don't hold back!"
Gohan immediately picked up his chopsticks.
Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
In moments, the food vanished.
Bulma stared in shock.
She'd expected a big appetite—but not one rivaling Goku's at only five years old.
Mrs. Brief laughed happily.
The more Gohan ate, the better her cooking must be.
"Burp!"
Gohan leaned back, satisfied.
Bulma studied him carefully.
"Gohan… what exactly did Piccolo feed you during training?"
"Apples, dinosaur meat, wild boar—basically anything in the mountains."
"D-Dinosaur?!"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"Nothing… I'm just surprised. Did Piccolo give it to you, or did you hunt it yourself?"
"I was being chased, so I cut off its tail."
"…I see."
Krillin's words echoed in Bulma's mind.
"Is it true? Krillin said even Piccolo isn't your match anymore."
"Mhm."
"That's amazing!"
Bulma jumped up happily.
"With you around, I don't have to be afraid of Piccolo anymore! Honestly, his face really is scary."
"Um… Aunt Bulma," Gohan said seriously, "Uncle Piccolo is actually a very good person. He just looks fierce."
