Seeing this, the Namekian immediately led the others to meet the Grand Elder.
Inside a massive three-story white structure sat a gigantic stone throne. Seated upon it was an extremely corpulent Namekian—the Grand Elder of Planet Namek.
Several Namekians flew in through the open windows.
The moment they entered, they knelt respectfully.
"Greetings, Grand Elder!"
The Grand Elder nodded slowly.
"Karl, why have you come?"
"Reporting to the Grand Elder. There is a child named Gohan. He claims to be from Earth and wishes to see you. He says he has important information concerning Planet Namek."
The Grand Elder pondered briefly.
"Bring him to me."
"B-But, Grand Elder… he appears to be a Saiyan!"
"It is fine. Bring him."
"Yes, Grand Elder!"
Not long after, Gohan was brought before the Grand Elder.
"Grand Elder, I have brought the one you requested."
"Good. You may all leave. I wish to speak with him alone."
"A-Alone?!"
Karl hesitated, clearly worried.
"It is fine," the Grand Elder said calmly. "This child is not malicious."
"…Very well."
Karl withdrew with the others.
"You are Gohan, correct?" the Grand Elder asked.
"Yes, Grand Elder."
"Why have you come?"
"Grand Elder… do you believe that I am from the future?"
The Grand Elder studied him for a long moment.
"I believe you."
Gohan was slightly surprised.
"Then speak. Why are you here?"
"Frieza and his forces will come to Planet Namek in a few months. Their goal is your Dragon Balls. I came to warn you—Namek must prepare to escape this disaster."
"Frieza…"
The Grand Elder closed his eyes briefly.
"The universe is vast. Even if we hide, one day we will be discovered again."
He opened his eyes and looked at Gohan.
"Son Gohan, may I ask you for a favor?"
"Please speak, Grand Elder."
"I want you to help us defeat Frieza. Can you do it?"
"I can—but my identity as someone from the future must remain a secret."
"Agreed."
The Grand Elder nodded.
"There is one more thing," Gohan added. "I wish for you to unlock my hidden potential."
"Very well."
The Grand Elder did not hesitate.
Gohan stepped forward.
The Grand Elder placed his hand on Gohan's forehead. A white light surged forth, flowing through Gohan's entire body.
As he sensed the boundless potential hidden within Gohan, disbelief appeared on the Grand Elder's face.
After a moment, he withdrew his hand.
"It is done."
Gohan nodded.
Just then, the System's voice echoed.
"Ding! Congratulations, Master. Your Battle Power has exceeded 100 million.
Rewards unlocked: Twentyfold Kaio-ken (no damage), Thornmail (60% damage reflection), and Evil Containment Wave."
A pink piece of armor—Thornmail—appeared in Gohan's inventory.
"Rewards delivered. Please continue training diligently, Master!"
"I already broke 100 million?"
Gohan immediately opened his status panel.
Battle Power: 110,000,000
"…So fast."
The Grand Elder looked at him again.
"When will you deal with Frieza?"
"When he arrives on Namek."
"You will wait?"
"Yes. We Saiyans cannot survive in space. I can only defeat him once he lands on a planet."
"In that case, I will notify you the moment Frieza arrives."
"Thank you, Grand Elder. If there's nothing else, I'll return now."
The Grand Elder nodded.
Gohan placed two fingers on his forehead.
Instant Transmission!
Not long after Gohan left, the Grand Elder summoned Karl and the others.
"Grand Elder, where is Son Gohan?"
"He has returned to Earth."
"Returned?!"
"Yes. But he brought us information crucial to the survival of Planet Namek."
"…I understand."
Back on Earth
Gohan felt refreshed.
With his previous training speed, reaching 100 million Battle Power would have taken at least ten more days.
Now it had happened in minutes.
"If only I could get stronger without training…"
"Master, that is incorrect thinking," the System said seriously.
"Only those who grow through their own effort can become true powerhouses."
"But I want to be a natural monster—like Broly."
"Broly's bloodline is strong, but he is still mortal. I can help you ascend to godhood—eternal life included."
"And didn't you want Zeno's erasure before? If you keep training, creating or destroying universes will be trivial."
Gohan stroked his chin.
"System… you're not scamming me, right?"
"Master, am I that kind of being?"
"Hm."
"…Also, you're getting pretty talkative."
"Are you complaining?"
"No. I just think you'd be better off being quiet."
"Once upon a time, there was a myth—"
The System suddenly began playing a song.
"I'm being quiet now, right?"
"…"
Later, Gohan returned to his room.
On the desk sat a laptop he had borrowed from Bulma—supposedly for studying.
In reality, he often used it to write code when bored.
Recently, he had been working on a game called Sheep Sheep.
It was extremely popular in his previous life.
A puzzle game similar to match-three, except many tiles were hidden underneath others. To clear the lower layers, players first had to remove the ones above.
The game only had two levels—but countless people stayed up all night trying to beat the second one.
Many self-proclaimed "geniuses" challenged it just to prove their intelligence.
Gohan's purpose was simple.
Money.
Even though Goku's family wasn't poor, the appetites of Goku and Gohan were terrifying.
If they didn't live in the mountains, surviving on wild food, they would've eaten themselves into bankruptcy long ago.
This was exactly why Chi-Chi, in the original timeline, desperately wanted Gohan to study and secure a stable future.
