Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Poor Boy Teigu

Fu Xian talked a bit more until he finally left.

At this point, he had done enough to pay back the favour of getting such a ticket. The price would have to be researched and paid later, but that could wait until he had the funds.

Once he entered his yard, he sighed once more "Alas, outside is really not as great as inside."

As a typical introvert, no matter how enjoyable or sociable he was outside, to him, being at home and watching TV (his clones doing exciting things and risking their life) was definitely the best thing to do!

Just as he thought so, he went to the pavilion, got a kettle of tea from somewhere, poured himself a cup and took a sip, his whole expression calming down.

"Now, let's get things done!"

The TV opened up and he saw three screens: a young man cultivating leisurely in a cave…

Another young man was currently being berated by an older man while walking across the fields…

And finally, the most exciting – Wu Teigu!

"Hey, Teigu, how many times do I have to fucking tell you!" a middle-aged man shouted, kicking Teigu's back, nearly pushing him to fall right into the corpse he was cleaning.

"You're supposed to take their clothes off, ALL of their clothes, and clean their WHOLE body."

The man chuckled and nearly kicked Teigu again, before he was stopped by another man "Don't bother with this brat. He's only been taken to do this job because we had vacancies lately, else, how could the village chief allow an orphan brat like him to survive?

He should be thankful he doesn't get skinned like the other corpses.

Anyways, heh, if he keeps fucking things up, he'll experience the feeling of 'close intimacy' at least once in his life… or death, whatever, hah!"

"Don't say so much, tsk, you guy are stupid. So what if he gets sacrificed? I am telling him to work better so it won't be our fault if he fucks up.

Alright don't talk about the village chief, he gave us all the instructions, we only have to work things out.

If there's nothing else, I'll go…

Hehe, I heard one of the guy's wives hasn't found a protector yet, if I'm lucky, I might eat fresh meat today!"

Gnarling his teeth in joy, the middle-aged man nearly jogged off, only to be followed by the other man "Hey, you can have the first bite, but I'll take the second, don't go off alone!"

Only after the men left the morgue for a long time did Teigu, who was still wobbling around a moment ago, steady himself and look their direction murderously.

'Just me, just a single orphan, can't they take care of me? Why do I have to do this dirty job? Huh? What did I do?!' he nearly screeched from under his breath, feeling a combination of disgust, exhaustion and fear.

It had been over a week since he had pushed the other orphans to death in hopes of survival.

Who would've thought, after all that work, he not only met the hidden true village chief, but even get sent to work in the morgue and do various labours?

For now his job was only to take the clothes of the corpses off and clean them, the corpse he was currently working on was the last one of the batch from last week…

It seemed like the morgue was in constant work but no one pushed him to work faster, as if they didn't care about any timeline.

But that wasn't the matter, what truly disgusted him was when he saw these two men, who seemed casual, doing atrocious things.

They skinned and hacked the corpses, putting various parts in different jars and storing them at the back of the morgue.

He couldn't understand, nor did he want to!

How, how could ne not see that what was happening was wrong?!

'What's happening? The village above, it looks normal, why is it like this here? And why does it feel like, like the hill of the village is actually a huge storage space for these, and the people of village are just pigs to be slaughtered?!'

[Poor boy… even after such a long time, he hasn't realised the true nature of this village chief. Isn't it simple? Well, if you never met a cultivator, and in such a place where tribes were separated by many miles, it's understandable if you've never even heard of cultivators…

Well, these mountains are really the best place to breed Gu, aren't they?

The chief is very meticulous for a qi refining Gu cultivator. He gathers Corpse Qi into the body of the caretakers to birth a special kind of Gu in their bodies. In the end, these Gu will simply eat their 'cocoon' and become Gu of appropriate grade.

As for the other materials, they're probably used to feed his Gu, right?

Haha, what a meticulous structure.

I wonder, are all Gu cultivators in the mountains like this?

Hmm, no… these kind of Gu are likely demonic Gu, not the poison Gu common in the southern mountains. This region might be a border region, or maybe the village chief simply found this somewhere in his youth?

Alas, what does it matter?

Now that I have the materials before that corpse Gu was planted in Teigu, I'll make sure this guy and the whole village he cultivated becomes the nourishment for his further path!]

Fu Xian commented as usual while watching the scene.

He then condensed the memories he gained from the jade slips into spheres of light, hovering them in his hand.

[Most importantly: the Nightmare Gu Art, then the main technique, Seven Nights Crimson Butterfly Gu.]

He sent these two into Teigu's brain right away.

Then, thinking it might be best to use it right away, he moved the two new inspirations he gained.

The moment he took them out, his talisman informed him.

[So, to transplant a spiritual inspiration fully, I have to pay 100% origin? Alright, but if I just want to enhance his talent, it'll only be 10%... well I didn't plan to specialise him in comprehension and learning, so just improving his talent is enough.]

And finally, he took out another sphere of light [Hehe, initially I would have had to wait the full cycle of recovery to give this extra technique, but now that I've recovered so much, I can just give it directly!]

With that, the fifth light fell into Teigu's head.

After all, the first technique, the butterfly Gu, was too singular and didn't have many options and was more like a main art, while the whole nightmare Gu system was a structure built to inhibit several Gu, so it was important to have many secondary Gu.

With that, his eyes fell back on the screen, his thoughts intertwined with ideas about the first nightmare.
