Chapter 9: Guardians in Disguise — Battle Within the City 🏮⚔️
The city was gripped by terror. General Mo-Shu's horrifying shadow crawled across the walls. The Elders' army stood helpless before him, as their ordinary Auras couldn't even graze the encroaching darkness.
🎭 Disguise and Infiltration
With Mei-Lin's help, the seven warriors disguised themselves as common laborers and travelers. Ryun hid his face under a deep hood, and Gojung manipulated his shadow, shrinking it to look like a normal civilian's silhouette.
They reached the 'Tower of Light' at the heart of the city, where General Mo-Shu had established his throne.
🌑 The Terror of General Mo-Shu
Atop the tower stood a seven-foot-tall warrior, black mist seeping from the gaps in his armor.
"The memories of this city are so sweet," Mo-Shu's voice rasped like the cracking of dry wood. "I shall devour them one by one."
He raised his hand into the air and began to siphon the 'consciousness' of the citizens. People began to collapse, falling unconscious in the streets.
⚔️ The Ambush
"Now!" Ryun shouted.
Akira (🍃): Using the wind rushing through the city alleys as a weapon, he created a 'Vacuum' around Mo-Shu to prevent his black mist from spreading further.
Seiya (🌊): Drawing water from the city's canals, he rose a massive torrent, trapping Mo-Shu inside a liquid cage.
Mo-Shu laughed. "Puny humans! Did you think you could stop me?" With a single surge of power, he shattered the watery prison.
🔥 The Synergy: Ryun and Kyle
Ryun and Kyle didn't take the stairs; they sprinted vertically up the tower walls.
Kyle (⚡): "Ryun, merge your fire with my lightning, but this time, Compress it!"
Ryun condensed his blue flames into a tiny, dense sphere, while Kyle injected a high-voltage current of electricity into it.
"Combo Art: PLASMA DESTRUCTOR!" 💥⚡🔥
The attack slammed directly into Mo-Shu's chest plate. The armor cracked, and for the first time, the General stumbled back.
🛡️ Mei-Lin's Contribution
Below, the Elders' army was closing in to capture the warriors. Mei-Lin used torches to send a false signal, leading the soldiers down the wrong path. She bought the Seven Guardians the precious time they desperately needed.
🕳️ Gojung's Masterstroke
Before Mo-Shu could recover, Gojung manifested behind him. His hand was glowing with the fragment of the Ancient Stone.
"You chose the wrong city, General."
Gojung drove the power of the stone directly into Mo-Shu's heart.
"Void Seal: ETERNAL PRISON!" 🌑🔒
Mo-Shu's massive frame began to be sucked into the stone. He screamed, "You have stopped me... but the Emperor is coming! The Seven Stones will resonate together, and the world will turn to ash!"
🏟️ Victory and Silence
As Mo-Shu vanished, the memories of the city returned to its people. As the citizens began to wake, the warriors vanished back into the shadows.
Mei-Lin looked up at the tower. She knew her brother had saved the world once again.

"The end of General Mo-Shu was merely a warning.
The true enemy—the Void Emperor—still slumbers in the depths.
But one question lingered in the air:
