Chapter 122 - Chapter 122 – Lines Drawn in Silence

The tension finally settled once Henry Law left the manor. The doors closed, and for a brief moment, the entire house remained unnaturally quiet.

PK leaned back against the sofa, arms crossed, watching the three women stare at him as if he had just rewritten reality.

He raised an eyebrow.

"Alright," he said calmly, "since all of you are looking at me like I pulled off black magic, let me explain."

Lana crossed her arms. "You better explain."

Luna nodded aggressively. "And don't skip details."

Eve stayed quiet, but her eyes were sharp—she was already connecting dots.

"At Silas Blackwell's manor," PK began, "there were four major figures present."

He lifted a finger. "Silas Blackwell himself."

Another finger. "Leonard Vane."

"Hector Vane."

"And Henry Law."

All three of them froze.

"Wait—Grandpa Henry was there?" Lana blurted out.

PK nodded. "Not physically involved in the bidding, but very much part of that circle. Those four families together control finance, military access, logistics, and political influence across multiple cities."

Luna swallowed. "So… Grandpa already knew?"

"He didn't know everything," PK said lightly, "but he knew enough. By the time he came here tonight, the decision was already made."

He tilted his head and smirked.

"So?"

He looked at the twins deliberately.

"Are you girls happy now?"

Lana scoffed, cheeks reddening. "You did all this and you're asking that?"

Luna leaned closer. "You scared us half to death, idiot."

PK chuckled. "But you're still smiling."

Eve sighed, rubbing her temples. "You enjoy teasing them way too much."

PK's expression softened for a moment. "Only because they're mine."

That sentence landed heavily. The teasing faded.

PK straightened, his tone shifting—no longer playful, no longer light.

"Listen carefully," he said.

The room went still.

"What happened today was not normal," he continued. "Those top families don't move unless there's a reason. Leonard Vane, especially—he doesn't lose control quietly."

Eve's brows furrowed. "You think he'll retaliate?"

"I don't think," PK replied. "I'm certain."

He looked directly at Eve. "From now on, when I'm not around, I want someone shadowing you. Discreet. Trusted."

Then he turned to the twins. His gaze hardened—not cold, but protective.

"And you two," he said quietly, "no wandering alone. No sudden plans. No shortcuts. Your safety is more important than anything else I'm building."

Lana opened her mouth to protest, but stopped when she saw his eyes.

"This isn't fear," PK added. "It's preparation."

Luna nodded slowly. "You think Leonard will use us to corner you."

"Yes," PK answered without hesitation. "If he can't control me directly, he'll try through pressure. Through leverage."

The room felt heavier now.

PK exhaled slowly. "Which is why we move carefully from here on. I'm not stepping back—but I won't let any of you become targets."

Eve stepped closer, placing a hand over his. "We trust you."

The twins nodded in unison.

PK allowed himself a faint smile, but his eyes remained sharp—calculating.

"Good," he said.

"Because the game just became real."
