Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 – Quiet Advantages

Late into the night, PK found himself thinking beyond lectures and exams.

Applications.

Platforms.

Digital ecosystems that would quietly reshape the world.

Messaging services, social networks—names that already existed but hadn't yet reached their true influence. They were still fragile, still evolving, still making mistakes. PK didn't rush toward them. Not yet. Timing mattered more than vision.

Instead, he observed.

He researched companies struggling to adapt to the accelerating pace of the internet era—platforms with potential, but weak foundations. Poor scalability. Inefficient systems. Leadership that didn't yet understand what they were building.

Opportunities, he noted silently.

Then he shifted focus to something lighter.

Games.

At the moment, titles like Uncharted and Battle Together dominated discussions across forums and hostels. Curious, PK created accounts and played through several sessions. The mechanics were impressive, the visuals engaging—but something felt off.

The characters were limited.

Predictable.

Bound by artificial constraints rather than skill.

Out of curiosity, PK experimented.

He wrote a small external module—not a crude cheat, but a controlled enhancement layer. It didn't alter server data. It didn't trigger flags. It simply optimized how his client interacted with the system, exploiting inefficiencies the developers had overlooked.

The result was immediate.

His character moved cleaner.

Responded faster.

Survived longer.

Levels that once required grinding fell effortlessly.

No alerts.

No warnings.

No bans.

Nothing noticed.

PK exited the game calmly, closing the process as if nothing had happened.

He wasn't interested in domination or bragging rights.

This was a test.

And the system had failed it.
