Chapter 23: [Night Guy]!!
DOOM... DOOM... DOOM!
The heartbeat, sounding like a high-performance engine, surged with endless vitality. The roar of the King Engine resonated through heaven and earth.
The Titan (Marugori) noticed King floating in mid-air. He realized that this tiny human was the one who had blocked his fist.
In that moment, the Titan froze.
Aren't I supposed to be the strongest existence in the world? Why is there someone who can block my attack? This is impossible!
The shock in his heart mixed with the rage and agony of his brother's death. His sanity, already fragile after the massive transformation, completely collapsed.
He let out a beast-like roar. Every muscle on his colossal body bulged, and his Qi and blood flowed madly, granting him destructive power.
The Titan took a step forward and threw a straight punch. Before the fist even arrived, the biting wind pressure formed a shockwave akin to an air cannon.
If this punch hit the ground, the impact and shockwave alone would be enough to wipe out nearly half the city.
Even without any special supernatural abilities, relying solely on this physically perfected body, the Titan was strong enough to be ranked as a "High Dragon." In terms of pure melee combat, he could even arm-wrestle with "Peak Dragon" threats.
"DIE!!"
His roar was filled with murderous intent. The Titan had no other thoughts in his mind; he only wanted to crush the enemy before him into meat paste!
Facing such a powerful strike, King's golden hair fluttered in the wind. He stretched lazily.
"If that's all the power you have, it's far from enough."
As he spoke, King didn't even open the Eight Inner Gates. He simply threw a light, floaty punch.
One fist was the size of a normal human's; the other was as large as a house. The outcome should have been obvious.
In the next second, the two fists collided.
BOOM!
An invisible wave of air swept in all directions. The massive boom carried the collision of ultimate forces, causing the surrounding space to gradually distort.
The clear sound of bones cracking rang out, followed by the sickening squelch of flesh being pulverized. A drizzle of blood began to rain down from the sky.
The Titan clutched his hand, most of which had been shattered. The pain brought back the reason he had lost to his rage. His eyes were filled with disbelief.
He roared, subconsciously taking a few steps back, his heart filled with confusion and terror.
"Impossible... I clearly possess the strongest power... My muscles cannot lie to me..."
"IMPOSSIBLE!! I AM THE STRONGEST! Why can you hurt me?! WHY WON'T YOU DIE!!"
His powerful muscles writhed. Through sheer muscular compression, he forcibly stopped the bleeding from his shattered hand.
King shook his hand out. He couldn't help but be impressed. This Titan guy was seriously tanky.
Compared to all the monsters he had fought so far, the Titan's physical durability was leagues above that "glass cannon" Vaccine Man.
Although Vaccine Man's physical body became tough after entering his second-stage berserk form, compared to the Titan, it was like comparing a wizard to a tank.
With that punch just now, King had intended to blow apart half of the Titan's body. Unexpectedly, he had only managed to shatter the fist.
As expected of the guy who, in the original anime, took a punch from Saitama and fell over intact instead of exploding. I acknowledge this durability.
Wait a minute...
Looking at the terrified, roaring Titan, King suddenly had a thought.
This guy's body is too big. Even if I kill him, his falling corpse will completely destroy this district.
Since he's so tough, why not use him to test a skill?
The corner of King's mouth slowly curled up.
There's a certain skill I got right after transmigrating that I haven't used even once yet.
The Titan had just recovered from the pain of his shattered hand when a sense of death, originating from the depths of his soul, instantly covered his entire body.
He looked up in panic. He saw King assume a stance. White steam was rising furiously from King's body—he had opened the Seventh Gate.
What is happening? Why did the sense of danger from this human suddenly spike so drastically?!
With a thought from King, the white steam began to turn a deep, crimson red. Blazing, active blood energy spread across his skin.
In the next second, King raised his leg. Blood energy, vast as an abyss and deep as the ocean, poured out. At breakneck speed, it coalesced into the form of a roaring Crimson Dragon.
Destructive power gathered in his leg. Everywhere it passed, space twisted. Even the target was completely locked in place.
[NIGHT GUY]!!!
The Titan was afraid.
This was the first time since gaining the "strongest power" that he felt fear. Drops of cold sweat, each the size of a human, rolled down his forehead.
He sensed ultimate danger from the crimson dragon charging toward him.
The Titan wanted to turn and run, but he found his body firmly locked in place. No matter what he did, he couldn't escape this kick. The space around him had been sealed by this heaven-defying power.
Even a rabbit will bite when cornered, let alone the Titan who claimed to be the strongest.
He let out a roar of desperation. Lowering his center of gravity, he used the strength of his core to drive his body, launching a punch he had been charging up to meet the attack.
A fist and a foot collided in mid-air. The fist, as large as the crimson dragon, held its ground.
But this stalemate lasted less than 0.1 seconds.
Under the Titan's terrified gaze, the Crimson Dragon smashed through his fist without hindrance, pulverized his arm, and drove straight into his chest.
BOOM!!!
Flesh splattered. A rain of blood poured down. Countless chunks of meat exploded into the sky like fireworks.
The Titan's head, eyes still wide with confusion, flew into the air. His entire upper body had been obliterated by the [Night Guy] kick.
Only his lower body remained standing stiffly on the ground, while his head spun away into the distance.
The Titan, who possessed a "Peak Dragon" physique but was only ranked "High Dragon" due to a lack of special abilities, had been one-shot.
The Crimson Dragon slowly dissipated in the air, revealing King's figure.
He subtly clutched his right leg, grimacing in pain.
Hiss~ That kick was no joke. It cracked my entire shin bone. That really hurts!
